1st Athens Steemeet: A day to remember!
Yesterday I had an amazing day, in Athens, along with some of the most interesting people I have met in the latest years. Big thanks to @skapaneas and @mariandavp for the beautiful gifts; @onceuponatime, @liondani, @kerkyra, @terrybrock, @rouketas, @evimeria, @mariossap - and forgive me I am forgetting someone - it was incredible that we met in person!
Our walks led us to the Akropolis museum.
A couple of quotes from Epicurus following a conversation with @terrybrock on the definition of time and existence:

Thank you, marian. I feel the same way. I really enjoyed talking with you, Tina, and the others at the table. We could have continued for many more hours. Perhaps we can do that someday when Gina, my partner, can join us as well. I know you two would have a lot in common. All the best to you!

Awesome pics - I was in Greece a few decades ago - the Akropolis was too expensive for me at that time ;-) Was just a student then on a low budget ;-)
Well next time you come you ll be a cryptomillionaire and you ll probably won't have time for the acropolis...
I actually did prefer the islands anyways - spent a good amount of time on several of them ;-)

Epicurus was an awesome philosopher and I love those quotes, he did get one thing wrong though:
"A free life cannot acquire many possessions, because this is not easy to do without servility to mobs or monarchs."
I'm gonna let him off though because he died in 2287 BS (Before Steem)
Will have to get myself to the next one of these gatherings, when the one in Portugal and who is organising it?
It is self funded and will take place early november i think..it is posted regularly...

Whatever and wherever, friendships remain number one.
