Introducing myself, + wannabe archaeologist part 1

in #blog8 years ago (edited)

Hello Steemit!

My name is Johannes!
I'm 23 years of age living in mid-Sweden around the parts where Astrid Lindgren grew up, this is where i have lived for about 19 years now! (i've spent 4 years in Stavanger, Norway),
In my spare time i spend alot of time gaming, enjoying good food and researching everything related to our history and past.
Now.... I'm going to be as blunt as possible. This will serve as my introduction (DONE) aswell as my first serious post!!(killing two birds with one stone)

Now if you're like me, a fan of our past and history i think you will like what I'm about to begin posting from here on out so let's call this part 1 of many to come! starting with these pictures!

These are two tools i have found in my "newly" discovered historic site on my grandfathers lands (he values his privacy/land so no telling of the location to the oustide world until he passes away, his words not mine ;) ), which are supposed to be a kind of axe? and a ground stone making flour and such from what i can tell!

You can clearly see markings of when they first made the ground stone, some notches from cutting away unwanted stone on the right side

Now if someone could tell me which period these stem from, as i have no clue I would be greatly in debt to him/her as I don't want to trouble myself to go to a museum or a "specialist" and i figured i could maybe get an answer on here :)

here's how you would hold the ground stone i think...

The flat side is really smooth and polished which indicates its been thoroughly used

Now begins the good part!

The Following images show an Entrance to the old "house/building" as well as some outlingings (in red) of the old house walls, this is also the place where the two tools where found, The images below are about two years old, and i will hopefully on the coming wednesday (20/7) go there and snap some more up to date pictures to show you a clearer lay of the land and of the "massive" building which once stood there, Now bear with me as the images does the site no justice beacuse of depth and a crappy camera, when you are there in real life it's a whole other story! :)
Cheers
