An open letter to undergraduates.

Dear Undergraduates,

Most of your professors want to know more about you. They want to know how you think about problem-solving and they want you to be honest with yourself and with them. There is a correlation between students who don't care, don't care to connect with their professors and low grades. While it may not always be the case, the exception to the rule is just that.

I believe to do well in in college, to get the most out of it, you must treat it like a friendship. You cannot only work at when it's convenient to you, you must constantly put the time in. Get to know your classmates, get to know your professors especially in your major.

If you make an effort to get to know your professors they can provide more opportunities for success. Things like scholarships, job opportunities, and tangible world skills. By spending time getting to know your prof. But the key to doing better in classes is to learn how they ask questions and what they expect for answers. If you know how they will ask a question, you will know what they are looking for in the answer and that translates into instant success.

Moreover, if you develop that skill, you can translate that into successes for anything that you're apart of. I think the most important skill college teaches is how to figure out what other people want, and what they want from you.
