Are you guys familiar with "LINE"? It's a messaging app which is very commonly used in Japan. It's not that popular in my country, but I have been using it for a long time now. Since it's not common in the Philippines, most of my contacts there are Japanese. I think the only Filipino friends I'm in contact with using LINE are my bestie @akielle, my cousin @shirayuki and a couple others who live in Japan.

One of my long-time Japanese friends sent me a gift yesterday. I met this friend of mine 6 years ago in a language exchange website, and we had kept in touch since then. She doesn't really watch Japanese anime and the only common interest we have is FT Island (a Korean band), but despite that, we became really close. She is like an older sister to me. We can talk about a lot of things in life, including relationships and stuff.

Recently, I have been helping her with her English studies. Whenever she has questions or whenever there are concepts which she doesn't understand clearly, she'd send me a message in LINE. Then last night, I checked some of her answers and talked about other things... She suddenly asked me about my top 5 favorite anime.

I didn't know what to answer, so I randomly answered the anime I recently watched including One Piece. A few moments later, I received this message.

I immediately changed my theme to it. Here's how it looks like every time I open my LINE app.




OMG! It's so cute... it makes me super happy. The tabs also changed into some One Piece characters. Take a look at my homepage.





The chibi icons in every tab also change into "attack" mode when you press the tab... as you can see, the homepage tab is Luffy and he's punching. If I press Zoro or the message tab, Zoro will change into attack mode like he's about to slash soomeone... hihihi~ so cute.. xD

The said theme also comes with free One Piece emoji that I can use when creating a message. Look at these cutie pies!!! <3




I'm extremely delighted with my new LINE theme, so I'm really grateful to my friend who gave me this theme. I will definitely enjoy using LINE more that I used to. hihi~

My LINE Anime Stickers!!!

Another reason why I love using LINE are the numerous Anime stickers I could use. Actually, these stickers are to be bought with real money. However, in my case, I have never spent money on my stickers. Years ago, LINE used Line Coins to purchase stickers and there were a lot of ways to earn free coins back then.

I think, I'm just so diligent in collecting free coins that I was able to buy a number of anime stickers. LINE provided more free coins in the past, but in recent years, it's super difficult to earn them. That's why I haven't bought any new stickers. Well, I received some stickers as a gift from my friends too.

Let me show you the stickers I was able to purchase through collecting free coins since I started using LINE.

I was able to buy these two sets of One Piece stickers years ago. I think I downloaded some LINE games that time and reached a certain level, before I could gather the free coins. haha~





Yes!! Chibi Shingeki no Kyojin! I think the year when I purchase this sticker was when the first season ended... or maybe it was still ongoing. So, when they released this sticker, I worked hard to earn free coins again... lol~














I also have Fairytail, SAO, Naruto and DRRR stickers. I bought them using free coins, too. If I remember correctly, DRRR was the last set of stickers I was able to buy using Free coins. A couple years ago, LINE coins were changed to LINE points. And the free points one can get is so much lesser than the previous years.

SO yeah, I couldn't buy new ones anymore... I could make use of some promo by doing some actions, but the stickers usually expire in a few months. Lucky for me, some of my friends gifted me with some anime stickers.




I'm not really familiar with Bleach, but I really appreciate this set. One of my Korean friends was so thoughtful that he sent me this set of Bleach stickers on my birthday as a gift. He's super kind. He used to be a student in the English Academy I worked for. He wasn't my student, but most of his batchmates were my students, so we became close friends as well.





This sticker set is actually a moving one. The Japanese friend who gave me the One Piece theme also gave me this set of stickers not very long ago. I'm really appreciative of her thoughtfulness.

LINE app makes me happy. I stay connected with my dear friends, especially those who are far away from me. Thanks a lot for dropping by and reading this post.
