Hey everyone,

First of all, I wish yall the best for the new year 2018 !

I think this will be one of the craziest years in our life for many reasons. But before i start a long story about myself and what goals i want to achieve this year, (you will see it on steemit anyway) I want to focus on the year it self. And here is why.

Humans have existed for millions of years as a part of nature and the transition from hunting and gathering to farming and building was so fast, that many of our ways of thinking about the world are no longer useful.

According to the most widely used gregorian calendar & the christian religion we are currently living in the year 2018 after Jesus birth. This is the most common "official" international way to count our years, months and days.

Of course we also have different cultures with different calendars, that´s right. All these calendars relate to some human being, a religion or a sort of ideology. This distorts our view of our own history and makes it harder to understand who we are as a collective.

But to really understand who we are as a species we need to rethink the way of looking on our own past.

We are kind of underplaying 10.000 years of human progress and development.

We need a new year 0, that really represents us, that includes all our cultures and shows how far we´ve already come. When did we start to build our own world on top of the old one ?

Let´s have a look.

Göbekli Tepe

One of the oldest (us known) proofs for human civilization is “Göbekli Tepe” in todays turkey. It looks like these formations were built around 10.000 BC. That´s more than 12.000 years from now and as far as we know, one of humans first big construction project. 7.000 years before the pyramids were built in egypt. To keep this shot I´ll skip the rest of the mysterious structures many cultures left on this planet but some civilization was able to create structures like these, which includes 40 tons heavy, single stone blocks. We still have no idea how they were able to do things like this.

The Yonaguni Monument

This monument is just another example that our history might be way different then we think. You can find this 5 squarekilometers big area of ruins in front of Japans coast. Since the end of the last ice age (9,000 - 8,000 years ago) this thing lays 5-30 meters under sea surface.

In my eyes, there are just 3 ways to explain this:

these are all natural formations

some ancient civilization created this structure more than 8,000 years ago

some ancient civilazation built this formation underwater without us knowing it

All of this 3 options are absolutley stunning! But let us continue with our calendar.

Creating a new time perception.

To get a deeper understanding about the absolutely amazing path of mankind & to gain our perception of time, we need to integrate at least the last 10.000 years of pre-christian history.

This is actually not a big deal at all. We just need to add a 1 to the normal gregoraian calendar. We could use this way of counting our time for all international and official matters. This would drastically change the way we think about history and how it feels to be alive during this era.

We already have this calendar and it´s called the Holocene Calendar

So lets have a look on how the New Human Era would look like.

12,000 years ago (year 0 HE) we saw the beginning of the firs construction projects. As far as we think, progress was still relatively slow and humans began to create cultures all around the world for thousands of years...I´ll skip some for the first. If we start looking from this new HE (Human Era) perspective, high cultures like the sumerians in mesopotamia or ancient egypt, would came around

7,000 - 8,000 HE (Human Era)

Around the year 9,500 HE the "western culture" began with the greeks and so on

Romes dominant force would be around 9,800 HE

Cesar was murdered in the year 9,956 HE

And just now, around the year 10.000 HE we start our modern christian way of looking at our past. Since this moment a lot of things happend and here we are!

12,018 years of Human History !

So this post was made on January 3rd, 12,018 HE

September ist month 9

October is month 10

November is month 11

December is month 12

The Names of the months are based on the latin language. It would be much easier to see it that way:

Septem = 7 - month 7

Octo = 8 - month 8

Novum = 9 - month 9

Deci = 10 - month 10
