If someone is willing and able to lose hundreds of Dollars just to get a spam post to the trending page, I agree for him to have it.
I check for what is trending less than once in a month.
The most urgent problem in steemit is that it does not work.
Then, it hides crucial information from its users like real time voting power.
If Steemit was decent, there would have been no need for "blockchain explorers", which the best of them were either always garbage, or became garbage recently.
I believe these problems stem from incompetent management and lack of financial incentive for anyone to do anything about it except from offering alternatives per pay.
I see people call these alternatives "apps".
