FAITH IS DEMONSTRATED THROUGH OBEDIENCE

"BY FAITH ABRAHAM OBEYED WHEN HE WAS CALLED TO GO OUT TO THE PLACE WHICH HE WOULD RECEIVE AS AN INHERITANCE. And he went out, not knowing where he was going."
Hebrews 11:8 (NKJV)

• Faith is more than mere words, and it is more than knowledge—it is demonstrated through obedience, and it openly responds to the instructions and the promises of God.

• Practicing the Word of God is called faith.
  THE word you do not practice or obey, you do not believe—the one you acted on is the one you believe.
• Every instruction given us by God in His Word should be practiced and acted on: whether the Word on holiness, prosperity, or whatever, all should be practiced.

1. "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, AND IS PROFITABLE FOR DOCTRINE, FOR REPROOF, FOR CORRECTION, FOR INSTRUCTION [training, discipline] IN RIGHTEOUSNESS,
2. that the MAN [son, daughter] of God may be COMPLETE, thoroughly EQUIPPED for every good work."
   2 Timothy 3:16,17 (NKJV)

• Bible, the word of God, was given us as a blueprint on how to live our lives in the world.
• A lot of Christians, believers in Christ Jesus, allow their flesh to control them—they yield to the flesh by obeying its lusts.
  THEY think God's instructions are too difficult to obey.
• God would be unjust if He asked us to do what we do not have any ability to do.
  THE God we serve is however just, He never ill-treats us.
  HE was called the Father of mercies and God of all comfort (2 Corinthians 1:3).
• The Holy Spirit tells us through Apostle Paul, that we should not allow sin to reign in our mortal bodies, neither obey it in its lusts (Romans 6:12).
• In addition:

"that you PUT OFF, concerning your former conduct, THE OLD MAN WHICH GROWS CORRUPT ACCORDING TO THE DECEITFUL LUSTS."
Ephesians 4:22 (NKJV)

• The instruction is to put off the former conduct, the old man, which is corrupted by lusts and deceptions.
• Flesh lusts, you have to discipline yourself and yield to the Spirit for help—to be able to practice the Word.

1. "I say then: WALK IN THE SPIRIT, AND YOU SHALL NOT FULFIL THE LUST OF THE FLESH.
2. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish."
   Galatians 5:16,17 (NKJV)

• Remember, if you do not practice the Word, God will not be able to operate fully in the affairs of your life.

• Do not apply worldly wisdom, let the Word of God rule your life, that you may see God's goodness (James 3:13-15).

1. "BUT BE DOERS OF THE Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
2. But he who looks into the perfect law and CONTINUES in it, AND IS NOT A FORGETFUL HEARER BUT A DOER OF THE WORK, THIS ONE WILL BE BLESSED IN WHAT HE DOES."
   James 1:22,25 (NKJV)

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
