NOTHING IS HIDDEN FROM GOD
"WOE TO THOSE WHO SEEK DEEP TO HIDE THEIR COUNSEL FAR FROM THE LORD, And their works are in the dark; They say, “Who sees us?” and, “Who knows us?”
Isaiah 29:15 (NKJV)
• There is nothing hidden from God.
- Every plan and thought are known to Him.
THE intent of your heart as an individual is known by God. You cannot hide from Him. - Whoever wants to keep God in the dark about the affairs of his or her life would surely regret later.
- Whatever you are trying to cover up, keep away from Him, is already known to Him.
THERE is nothing unknown to God, He only wants you to come out with it—He would want to hear it from the horse's mouth.
• When you have a skeleton in the cupboard, you would like to keep God in the dark. But nobody can keep God in the dark because everything is known to Him
- If what you wanted to do is contrary to His Word and plans, you would want to hide things from Him.
- Some because they have idolized their plans, and would want to have their ways, would not want the truth; though they know the truth, yet would not want to involve God in their affairs.
THE truth you know will testify against you. - Some would want to marry, though they know the truth, yet they would want to keep their plans from their pastors because the person they wanted to marry is an unbeliever.
- When you disagree with God's Word or counsel, it means you are proving to be wiser than Him: "How foolish can you be? HE IS THE POTTER, AND HE IS CERTAINLY GREATER THAN YOU, THE CLAY! Should the created thing say of the one who made it, “He didn’t make me”? DOES A JAR EVER SAY, “THE POTTER WHO MADE ME IS STUPID”? (Isaiah 29:16).
- DO NOT BE UNEQUALLY YOKED TOGETHER WITH UNBELIEVERS. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?
- And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever?
- And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said:
“I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God,
And they shall be My people.” - Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN, AND I WILL RECEIVE YOU.”
18 “I will be a Father to you,
And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the Lord Almighty.”
2 Corinthians 6:14-18 (NKJV)
• Whatever you are hiding from your leaders or other believers, it means you yourself know that the thing is not right or proper.
- If you knew it is not the right thing to do, Why do you want to do it to begin with?
- You may succeed in hiding it from Man, but not from God—everything is bare before Him: "FOR THERE IS NOTHING COVERED THAT WILL NOT BE REVEALED, nor hidden that will not be known" (Luke 12:2).
- Whatever you are doing that you cannot confidently share with the God's delegated authority over your life or other believers, it means the thing is not right and wholesome.
• If you wanted to marry, let your spiritual parents know about it. TELL them your plans.
- Whatever is contrary to God's Word and plans that may be appealing to you would later bring sorrow,
THUS, there is no point doing it secretly, because it would later come to the limelight: "For everything that is hidden will eventually be brought into the open, AND EVERY SECRET WILL BE BROUGHT TO LIGHT" (Mark 4:22). - The truth you know that you suppressed or put aside because you wanted to have your way, would later stand or testify against you.
- When you embrace the truth, it will set you free, if you however stand against it, you will regret: "AND YOU SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH, AND THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE" (John 8:32).
• Submit to whoever God May have stirred your heart to follow
and share your burden with him or her: "OBEY THOSE WHO RULE OVER YOU, AND BE SUBMISSIVE, FOR THEY WATCH OUT FOR YOUR SOULS, AS THOSE WHO MUST GIVE ACCOUNT. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you" (Hebrews 13:17).
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
Peace!
