Some people wants to avoid google when they start a blog because to get traffic from google it needs to fulfill criteria for google search engine. On the other hand google ban some domain for violation of their policy. Also it is now difficult to get adsense program approval from google. So that people wants to avoid google anyway. Here I have given some list of website where you need not to worry about google for getting traffic to your blog.
In the list given above Medium is one of the site that offers writer money for their blog. You can earn more than 1000$ per month from medium if you are a good write. The important things for those sites is that you need not to worry about seo or any other feature for a blog.
