Root canal
After having one I didn’t feel much like posting, I am even skipping posting an obligatory image in this post. I am pretty good at handling pain and it wasn’t the most horrible thing ever but man I think the worst part was seeing the tools they use. I will spare you the details but if you are the squeamish type and ever have one done I suggest not looking lol unfortunately I’m the type who has to look.
I kept waiting for some searing pain when I could feel them jam whatever needle type thing they used into my tooth to kill the nerve but thankfully it never arrived. Glad my teeth are in overall good shape cause I don’t not want to go through that again.
I am self employed and had picked up a dental plan for about $40 dollars a month but it ended up being worth it when a tooth cracked. It also covers cleanings and checkups so if you are in US I would look into some plans because even though they aren’t “great” coverage, 70 percent off a root canal can save you a grand.
Got some pretty cool artwork to post soon and I will be trying out selling some art as a digital collectible which will be interesting for me and will post more about soon.
Yoooo. I am going in tomorrow for my (4th) final friggin appt (i hope). root canal... post/build up.... prep tooth for a crown... and tomorrow i get the crown.... so freaking annoying

Root canals fucking blow, man. I just had to get one done a few months ago, definitely hoping I don't have to get another anytime soon. Hope you feel heal up quickly.

Yeah, that was one thing that annoyed me. They said 24 hours and I wouldn't have any pain/discomfort at all. I had quite a bit of aching pain and tenderness for like 3 days afterwards. At least give me a heads up on how long the shit may or may not actually last. Did they prescribe you any pain medication at all, or nah?
No they didn’t so I called like 1 hour after and said give me some! It’s been 4 days now and nothing major but still got some ache that’s annoying and I just ran out of em so hope it clears up tomorrow or next day.
At least they gave you something. The dentist I go to doesn't give out any prescriptions for pain killers whatsoever, so even if you've had some surgery done they tell you to go pound sand, lol. Seriously, I had to get a tooth pulled about 2 years ago and they ended up having to remove some small bone fragments from my jaw and cut my gums open to remove the tooth. Had 9 stitches in my mouth and felt like hell, and they gave me like 3 days worth of Tylenol, haha. Had to ask my sister to give me some of her old Vicodin that she had laying around.

Ouch! I can relate to that. I had an ear infection from hell this month. I was on antibiotics and pain killers for a week. It ruined my steemit posting... How you feel better mate
I don't have any tooth problem for now and I pray I won't because I can't stand the pain associated with tooth ache , and I hope hope you did not feel too much pain I wish you a speedy recovery steemitadventure
Oh I hope you feel better, the teeth are so delicate that when I start to hurt the molars use painkillers because they do not let me sleep :(

Is this root canal reallly painful?
I had a back tooth that kept giving me problems, it even started breaking after a few fixes they wanted to do a root canal on it, but the tooth was so messed up, that I told them no just pull it. I hope I never have to go through with one, viewing it done on video was enough for me. I am so sorry you had to go through this. I hope you are feeling better now.
