Waves
I’ve begun meditating on the ocean. Just staring at the sea from my window...scheduled twice daily, or anytime that I get stressed. It is so damn beautiful, that it’s all I want to do any ways.
Lessons I’m learning from the sea:
-it is constantly amazing without any effort or consciousness
-it’s movements never end. There is no such thing as stillness in the ocean...”the only constant is change.”
-nothing is separate. One wave crashes the shore and then begins to slip back into the sea. But the next wave comes crashing in and scoops back up part of the first wave that was going out. Rather than separate waves coming in and going out, it’s really more like a mixing bowl of water and the ocean’s energy is always folding in the molecules.
-waves are simply a gathering up of energy. They rise upon the surface of the source. Sometimes they crash dashingly into the shore. Sometimes they intersect with other surrounding waves blending, shifting, and changing directions. Sometimes they look like they’re going to be large and powerful, but then fizzle out half way in. Waves do not cling or attach to outcomes. They gather energy and form. They rise up and flow, intersect with other waves and change directions, or crash into rocks before reaching the shore. They never stiffen, resist, or complain. They only meld and flow with whatever comes before them or merged into them.
-people are exactly like waves, but with egos. We are simply a gathering up of energy, but then we begin to identify as separate from our source. We make plans and chose directions. We stake claims. When we intersect with the flow of other waves (people, events, rocks) we become very perturbed over the shift in the direction of energy rather than flowing with it. We cause all of our own suffering by identifying as separate and my making up what “should” happen in our heads.
This is so true. Our egos seem to prevent us from taking part in many life changing and exciting adventures. Those who have theirs in check are always happy with the little they have.
Ps
You're totally living my dream life. Just being one worth nature. Listening to the sounds of the ocean and birds make those little noises in the morning is something I long for.
Yes, when the ego is in check we can be happy with however little, or however much we have.
Ps. This is my dream life too, brother! 🙏🏽
Hey,
You are lucky to live close to sea where you could meditate. I wish I were that lucky. I agree with your philosopy of life, we all are waves and fighting with the air.
they are saying!
the sea itself is a meditation. I always liked watching the sea and listening to the voice. I appreciate the place you choose for meditation. ! And I'm so glad you are so beautiful. I can not believe how beautiful you are. When I get to your age, I will be very happy if I can stay as beautiful as you can!
you are great ! It is pleasant to follow you. :) hug

The cycle of the waves is a great illustration of life itself. To be born, thrive then decay. Grab the moment
Yes! It’s very fleeting...Many lessons to learn from the waves.

Really its amazing , I also want to practice yoga to empty negative energy and charge positive energy. I see that you have reached a high degree of meditation. 👌
You are lucky man @sean-king
This time you have to make some movements in the place where the waves are located, In order to have more balance
Your movement is very difficult, well done
