The Backside of the Pink House
Things have changed. Now you can see the Pink House from the west.
It used to be like the White house, like really far away with a huge lawn, trees, and statues taking up the land. But they recently reduced the size of the back yard in order to make a walkway into Puerto Madero. The also moved the landing pad for the President's helicopter.
The picture below shows the more sensible helicopter pad within the gates of the Presidential grounds. Years ago, the helicopter would land about 100 feet away from the building and the president would have to get into a car and drive the half block to the gates.
This is not "The Emerald City", nor is it the city of Buenos Aires. That area used to be a port with cranes to unload ships. It is now Puerto Madero which is the high-end center for corporate offices and high rise apartment building. All new in the last ten years.
That is where they held the G7 meetings several times. When that is happening, you must be a resident to get in.
Puerto Madero, the rich zone

If the reduction of spaces was for the benefit of the country and city then it had to be done.
There are institutions with large expanses of land that do not use them, then why have them if they are not going to take advantage of it, to use them for something else and that's it.
