Sadly, we are contained in a three dimensional universe, by our own lack of ability to understand more. If you take a two dimensional being, living in a flat surface, and show him a three dimensional construct; it will be flat to him! This apparent flatnees is because of his inability to see anything else. :(

While the construct is indeed three dimensional, it will forever remain flat to him.
