English vs. Polish - small lesson.!

Here is kind of a transcription of the video.

When you introduce yourself :

1. CZEŚĆ = HI / HELLO - informal
2. DZIEŃ DOBRY (LITERALLY = DAY GOOD) = GOOD DAY We say it all day long until evening when „good evening” phrase comes in. - formal
3. WE DON’T HAVE THINGS LIKE: GOOD MORNING / GOOD AFTERNOON (IT SOUNDS FUNNY IN POLISH: DOBRY PORANEK 😅 / DOBRE POPOŁUDNIE😅 )
4. GOOD EVENING = DOBRY WIECZÓR

"Saying good bye":

1. GOOD NIGHT = DOBRANOC (ONE WORD MADE OF TWO: DOBRA + NOC)

„Good night Jimmy” – „Good night, mum” – you get the point

1. GOOD BYE = DO ZOBACZENIA / DO WIDZENIA (LITERALLY: SEE YOU, UNTIL NEXT MEETING)

Literal meaning of this phrase does not exist in Polish. You can ask Google, check English – Polish dictionary from your shelf – you will get nothing else then „ do zobaczenia / do widzenia”.

1. BYE - you can translate this informal thing as PA.

"Bye, Love " = "Pa, Kochanie".
