Birthday suprise from the bestest sister in the world - La Mer Spa in the President Wilson Hotel in Geneva [3 min read]

Today is a very special day. Why, you may ask? Well, because it’s my birthday, silly! And on amazing days, we drink Champagne. In a hot tub. Good reason enough, right?

It looks pretty amazing enough for me, wouldn’t you agree?Okay, let me rewind back a bit so you can see for yourself.Julie currently is on Easter holidays so she booked her flight to come see me this weekend to celebrate my birthday together. Uh, oh, double trouble, watch out, the Hubsters are in town!Julie’s gift to me was very mysterious. She told me, not to make any plans for the Saturday, not to worry about my hair and make up, to wear a comfortable outfit and to maybe bring my swimsuit along. Umm, what?Saturday morning came and we got up, I put on something comfortable, didn’t worry too much about my hair and make up and then she lured me into the vast unknown.

The unknown happened to be in the La Mer Spa located in the President Wilson Hotel in Geneva.Turns out the little (lovely, adorable one) mischievous weasel booked us an Essence for Two spa day, that included an oil massage followed by 2 hours of our own private room with a jacuzzi, sauna and hammam and champagne with sweet and savoury treats.

So we got changed, had the most relaxing oil massage ever, and then were whisked away into our own little heaven.

Someone made herself comfortable right away.

Firstly, the savoury platter, with delicious japanese grilled fish and prosciutto on pesto toast.

Followed with something for the more sweet inclined: macaroons, chocolate tart and strawberry cream cakes.

We popped the champagne and got a’drinkin’.

I think the macaroons were good.She then went on to sip some bubbly to help flush the macaroons down.

Doesn’t she look so stressed from the hectic London student life? Poor her.Meanwhile, I was still bubbly; feeling bubbly with my bubbles in bubbles. Bubbleception.

A few hours later, two giggly and bubbly girls stepped outside, skipping and singing along the lake of Geneva. This has to be, hands down, one of the best birthday gifts ever!Thank you so much you little munchkin, I love you to bits!
