My own experience on seasonal work in Poland last year. (My Story and Photoreport)

in #blog7 years ago

 Hello Beautiful Steemians!

I was on strawberries last year, when steemit first made payments and the real boom began) The impression of working on a strawberry harvest last year.

Many Ukrainian, while looking for work, pay attention to the European labor market. This is mainly due to the inability to find work, or because of improper pay in Ukraine. Despite the various vicissitudes, the economy of European countries is gradually, but is developing. Accordingly, the need for labor is increasing. And here citizens of our country are ready to offer their services.

Polish employers offer Ukrainians (as well as their western colleagues to the Poles) a large salary and better working conditions than those who have at home.

Seasonal work in Poland.

From early spring and ending with the onset of cold weather in Poland can make good money on a variety of seasonal jobs. The main types - is the work on agricultural land, construction and wood processing industry.

To work in enterprises engaged in agrarian business, gardening, or on private farms, employees are hired by two basic requirements - endurance and health. This is due to the fact that the work is very exhausting, and payment depends on the amount of landed (processed or harvested) crop, or working hours.

Special professional skills and knowledge of the Polish language are welcome, but not necessary. As a rule, no one pays extra. Exceptions are posts where it is directly necessary for the performance of professional duties - agronomists, tractor drivers, etc. However, we should note that such positions are usually well paid, and therefore citizens are taken by the citizens of Poland.

For all kinds of seasonal work in Poland there is a main requirement - a good physical form. After all, Polish employers know that Ukrainians go to work not only to get their money back for a trip, a visa and food. Therefore, often make such proposals (working conditions, level of payment, personal attitude) so that a person who seeks to earn enough money worked really a lot.

Working conditions in Poland

Legal work in Poland has a number of advantages. Employers pay all the necessary taxes, and therefore hired a Ukrainian has adequate social protection, life insurance and the right to medical care. In most cases, the owner also provides free or for a nominal fee housing, pays the road to work and at least a one-time meal.

We are a young family that wants to live in their own house or apartment. So we need a lot of money. In Ukraine at that time we did not have the opportunity to earn such money, which was paid there for very hard work.My husband and I went to seasonal work, collecting strawberries in Poland. People who often go to work in other countries say that this is one of the most difficult seasonal jobs.

So imagine, (those who did not work like this)

1. We woke up every day at 5:00 in the morning. We went to bed at 10-11 o'clock in the evening.

2. From 6:00 am to 8:00 pm we worked on the field. (1.5 -2 hours for lunch), they came tired and cooked their own food. And so day to day.

3. I had to work at a temperature above +30, under the sun. From such heat and work, people sometimes became ill.

4. Sometimes they worked in the rain.

5. you are interested in a quick work to collect strawberries longer and earn more money. For example, for a box of collected strawberries on average paid 2 zł. (On average, we collected for a full day each of 50-60 boxes)

On average, for a day of the robot, we earned - 600 UAH (23 dollars), while in Ukraine the average daily earnings of 200 UAH (8 dollars).

6. Given that the work is constantly on prisyadki or knees crawling, then a very sore back and knees. People used medicines for pain.

The hosts we worked in were friendly people and demanding employers. We tried to create the appropriate living conditions. Free housing, utensils and certain products (bread, potatoes, beets, carrots). Worked for them about 150 people.

For a month of work on strawberries, I earned $ 500. (This is 4 months of salary at my work in Ukraine)

This year, we did not go to work, because my husband got a good job in Ukraine, and thanks to the steemit, I can earn a living at home, look after a small child.)

It's wonderful that@ned and @dan and all team have created such a resource where people can earn what they write and tell their lives to others. Do not kill your health!

When already our country starts to take care of its citizens?
We are forced to left our families and spoil our health by working for the benefit of a foreign country, because at home we are on the brink of survival. Many of my friends go to work in Poland, my husband persuades me to go there together, that's just a pity to leave at home our young child...

I agree with you 100%. This is a big problem in our country.

I like to garden and harvest my crops. But I appreciate that hand-harvesting crops on a production farm is a completely different situation. On the one hand, I'm glad you were able to get 4 months of salary in one month. On the other hand, it's a shame that people have to travel so far and work so many hours of repetitive work. that is hard on your body and psyche. I appreciate how you told your story, too.

Thank you for your comment. So it's really difficult to travel far from home and family. We went only for 1 month, and there are people who are left on for years. There is no easy work. But it all depends on the time of her vikonnannya and working conditions.

Agricultural work is hard work, that's for sure. It would be nice if more people could have gardens. They are pleasant to work in, and can produce a lot of food for a family.

Agree with you. Just watched your videos on the channel youtube. Very interesting.

Wow. Thanks for doing that. Now maybe your mental image of me is more accurate, lol.

hey :) I didn't know about those working condition. But I have to admit that I travelled in east Europe, in particular in Poland, and I found the most kind people that I ever met. Good luck and stay healthy!
