Art Of The Tank In The Park.

There just something so surreal to see a tank sitting in the park surround by trees and birds. It's almost a piece of art. So we are back in the park again. Considering I spoke last Sunday about the mistic miner, we decided to veiw the tank on the other side of the park today.

Back in 1977 the leapord AS.1 battle tank was used to replace the centutrion tank for the Australian armored corps.

The first deployment of the leapord main battle tank was at the Wommera range in South Australia in 1977.

Since that day it was used through out Austrailia handling our vast aray of ever changing climates.

The tank was donated to Mount Perry as part of the QLD Government's Q150 project as a rememberance to all who have served and lost their lives serving our great nation.

I would like to thank the QLD Goverment for their investment into the two at Mount Perry with the Q150 project, you have provided a real service. Giving the kids a nice skate park to use, exercise park for everyone to promote good health and giving this tiny town something to be proud of. My boys love spending time and hanging out in the park without the grant they would have nothing to do.
