JAFLONG, DAUGHTER OF NATURE

Jaflong of Sylhet is known as the daughter of nature, in the country. It is located in the foothills of Khasia and Jainta. On the banks of the Piyain River on the level of the stone stack makes it more beautiful. Indian Hills across the border, due to the continuous flow of water from the Dauki hills, Hanging Dauki Bridge, the transparent crystal clear water of the Piyain River, the forest on the hill and its silence, the area has impressed the tourists with great pleasure.

Our country Bangladesh is wonderful. Believe if you go out on a trip to Bangladesh then you cannot finish in a year. Beauty is spread in almost everywhere in Bangladesh. The Jaflong Sylhet is an incredible natural beauty.

If you look from a distance, it will seem like the hills are standing on the sky. Clouds are flying on a hill like soft cotton. You will also see flat tea gardens, Khasia polli, and the Pan (betel leaf) garden. It looks like nature has made this beautiful place with its hand.

LOCATION: JAFLONG IS A UNION OF GOWAINGHAT UPAZILA OF SYLHET DISTRICT. SYLHET TO JAFLONG DISTANCE IS 62 KILOMETERS, AND IT IS LOCATED IN THE NORTHEAST PART OF THE CITY. IT IS KNOWN AS ONE OF THE TOURIST DESTINATIONS OF BANGLADESH, BECAUSE OF THE BEAUTIFUL COMBINATION OF HILLS AND RIVERS.

History:* For thousand years it was a solitary forest of Khasia-Jainta king. After the abolition of the zamindari tradition in 1954, few years it was an unused land. Traders started to come from different areas to find stones. With the growth of the stone business, new habitations are also developed.

In the 1980s, 55 kilometers of Jaflong road connectivity with Sylhet was established. After that, the beauty of Jaflong's spread across the country. In addition to native and foreign tourists, nature-loving people were also crowded here. It is one of the best tourist spots in the country.

Best time to visit in Jaflong : Jaflong also changed its appearance with season-diversity. Variety comes in beauty. If you visit in the rainy season, you can see the countless fountains dropped off the hill. The sun shines in the bright shade of greenery, and the clouds over the hills are amazing to see. It's also appeared in another form in the winter. You will find green everywhere.

As a result, winter and monsoon can always be a suitable time to visit here. There are two rivers in this area. Dholai and Piyain, these two rivers has brought uniqueness to Jaflong. You will see different species of small fishes fluttering in groups of bright and pneumatic water. The tourists will be impressed by the fact that thousands of workers dug up from the bottom of the two rivers and collected stones. This view in river water can be seen from dawn to evening.

A bridge (Jaflong bridge) on the river Dauki on the other side of the border has increased the beauty of Jaflong. Mountains all over the place, water, Pan (betel) Leafs, stones, fountains, made it a fairy tale state. Travelers from different parts of the country, or even from outside the country travel here to find the peace and forget the boring city life.

The beauty of Jaflong is not limited to hills and rivers. The indigenous lifestyle of Khasia's adds the beauty of Jaflong. After crossing the river, you will find. Khasiya village. Their community is called Punji. If you go to these communities, you can see 3 to 4 feet high house.

For a few decades, Jaflong area is known as the most prominent and as well as the country's second largest tourism place. In addition to the Eid every year, besides tourists from different districts of the country, foreign tourists also visit Jaflong tourism area to see the nature girl.

Where to stay and eat: There is not a suitable arrangement to remain in Jaflong without the bungalow of the district council and a guest house in Sreepur Forest for tourists. There is a rest house of Border Guard of Bangladesh (BGB). In this case, the visitors should stay in Sylhet city. It is better to take food with you while going there. Because Sangram café in the Khasia Village is the only Cafe in Jaflong.
