Why Do You Write?

With so much content at our fingertips these days it can be overwhelming to be a writer and "compete" against other writers. I still write though as it's something I've always done and will always do, and I'll always promote other writers works and to do the same. Through my own blog and avenues like hubpages, steemit and patreon I continue to make the effort to do what I love.

I do it because no matter how exhausting it can be I love it and it makes me me. So I wonder... if you're a writer, why do you keep writing when it seems to be a struggle?
