Food and Travel blog: "IKABUD"Pampanga's Delicacies

Most of us Filipino's are naturally creative when it comes to cooking,that's why every City in the Philippines represents their own food that is native of their place.Do you know that "Kapampangan" is known for the most popular delicacies in the whole Country.

If you happen to travel in Angeles Pampanga,and you are looking for a delicious Filipino-Kapampangan meal,then you need to try going to "IKABUD".Apart from their meals being delicious,the price is affordable as well.The restaurant's theme is all about being "Proudly Pinoy",where you can see the Philippine Flag,paintings depicting the scenes of the Philippine culture and the beautiful sceneries surrounding it.

These are the List of the food in "IKABUD" restaurant.

From the appetizers,Sea foods,chicken,pork,beef,Regional favorites,drinks etc....

Pork Sisig:

The main ingredient is the Pig's head,which need to be boiled first for an hour specifically the pork mask,then the next step is to "Grill"and then when its done that is the time that it can be minced mixed with the chopped liver together with the flavorings,like calamansi,soysauce,chopped onions,and chili.Did you know the dish "Sisig" is the first popularized in Angeles,Pampanga?.In the year 1974 ,Lucia Cunanan was hailed as the "Queen of Sisig".Lucia is known as "Aling lucing" which is also the name of the very popular restaurant in Angeles,Pampanga.Did you know that 5000 to 7000 kilos of sisig meat are being cooked in Angeles,Pampanga?.This is because they are known as the "Sisig Capital of the Country".Actually,Sisig is loved by the Kapampangans,a Fiesta is created in honor of the well loved dish.It was created in 2003 and was known as the "Sadsarang Qng Angeles" or the Sisig Festival which was being celebrated annually.

Pinakbet or mixed vegetables steamed in Fish:

There are two versions of Pinakbet in the Philippines,the" Ilocano style" which is a native of Ilocos.One of the well known ingredients is the mixed Anchovy sauce.While in "Tagalog and Kapampangan" version,shrimp paste is used in place of Anchovy sauce.This is my most favorite dish to order here in "Ikabud",because of its perfect taste and quality of the cooked vegetables.

Fried chicken:

What i can say about the dish is that it was well cooked,it was crispy and very tasty.I believe this is going to be the favorite of every family that will visit this place.

One of our orders included,the "Green mango shake",but you also have the option to choose if you want the ripe one or the green one.The Philippine Mango is already becoming one the tourist's favorite because of its delicious and natural sweet flavor.Mangoes are naturally found in the country during the summer season.27710491_2014939605448583_1769014886_o.jpg

Overall,If i will rate the "Ikabud" Restaurant from 1 to 10,I will definitely give them a 9.Because of their vast choices of dishes and Very affordable price.
