Writer's block? Here are 7 proven ways to get inspired and keep on writingsteemCreated with Sketch.

in #blog7 years ago (edited)

What's up guys? It's Rye again. How's your weekend? It was raining hard last Saturday here in Tarlac, Philippines but Sunday was more of a hot sunny day like it's already summer :-)

Anyways, going on with our topic, there are different kinds of bloggers here on Steemit. Some use videos, others focus more on pictures but if you're like me who prefers writing and I mean writing a lot, sometimes, we just ran out of ideas or in other words, writer's block :-)

Writer's block is very common.

You know you got to write but just can't take the necessary action or inspiration to start something.

Don't worry, you're not alone.

All writers, even established ones find themselves in your spot too.

Good thing is I've got 7 ways to get me inspired that you can use to keep on writing.

I learned these from trustworthy bloggers that I am subscribed on like smartblogger.com, hongkiat.com, shoutmeloud.com and incomediary.com and

I recommended subscribing to them, they've got plenty of valuable information.

#1. Do what you love

Just because you're a blogger doesn't mean that you just have to keep on reading and writing. Come on, do what you love, watch TV, play games but at the same time observe more. Analyze the way the artists and writers delivers your favorite program, how did it go? Did you feel anything? Amplify their ideas and incorporate them in your writing.

I play games a lot especially the older ones because they've got tons of story focused games. This helps me move forward, get inspiration and sometimes I drew them from games that I've finished years ago.

#2. Check your comments.

Blogging on Steemit will definitely get you comments. Don't just browse through them, read as many as possible. That next blog post might just be around the corner.

#3. Learn from your mistakes.

Writing and blogging should be transparent and honest. If you made mistakes in the past, blog about it, talk about it. Your audience would appreciate it more and they will be inspired too. You'll gain their trust more plus you've got a topic.

#4. Follow similar bloggers or niche.

As what I stated in number 3, blogging should be transparent and honest which means it's okay to study other bloggers. They're topics should give you inspiration but never ever copy what they're doing. Imagine your work being copied by others.

#5. Make writing your habit not just a goal.

Remember when you were a kid? When it's your first time riding a bicycle? At first , it's hard right? Sometimes, you might have even stumble and fall. But as you do it every day, as you practice, it becomes easier.

It's the same with writing, setting goals is not enough, you must make it a habit. You'll be surprise with the results :-)

#6. Setting up Google alerts.

With this, you can monitor things that is happening online especially in your niche. Just go to google.com/alerts and type in your topic, you'll receive emails and Google will even suggest websites that you might not have heard of.

#7. Ask your audience

This is simply making a poll. If you have a good number of followers, this would be very beneficial to you. But don't just ask your audience about a topic, make it more personal like their mistakes or success that's relevant to your niche.

You got this!

It's already been a month since I've started on Steemit and being with other bloggers helped me a lot especially in writing as I learn from them everyday. You can do it too but you need to put some effort and make it a habit.
