Trumpman's New House Is Loading And Ruthie Is Unloading... Boxes
What a weekend! After having spent most of my Saturday cleaning and my Sunday unloading boxes and washing all kinds of plates, pots, cutlery and other kitchen utensils, I think I deserve some hot coffee and unhealthy cookies!
I am so excited to see the new house turning into a real home day after day. Today the kitchen is almost finished. A few appliances are missing, but I can start cooking straight away!
The bathroom is all clean.
And so are the bedrooms.
These are the before pictures, I forgot to get new ones today, but you can get an idea.
Our super fashionable living room is all set. Carpets and curtains are coming within the next few days.
We're using sofa covers to hide the beauty, because I don't think I can handle so much good taste (oh, well the sofas came in for free, so I can't complain)!
Let's enjoy some sunset moments before going back inside to wash some food containers and glasses...
Ok! Washing is done, now it's time to have that coffee with my sister...
And just before leaving, don't forget to look at the moon. Ruthie loves to glimpse the moon before going to bed... or tsipoura.
Bottom line, my back hurts, my arms are sore, my neck is stiff, but in the end it will all be worth it...

It is so exciting to see someone else setting up house.
I was happy today as part of the busy to-doing was me being able to find a cute little antique desk, so now my rooms has an air mattress, suitcases, a new duvet and a new desk. Still a work in progress, but tomorrow I am off to look at a comfortable arm chair. I figure if I can have a place to work (Desk) and a place to relax (chair) then I can take anything on. And of course, a hot cuppa, that is always a necessity.
Looking good! I am going to share some kitchen and sitting room photos next I think. Though the rooms are still bare, but we have a dining room table we bought at an online auction on the way tonight, let's hope it was as pretty as it looked online :)
It's fun to see the "projects" run at the same time 😂
I really admire you doing this. Starting a house from scratch. I have so much furniture coming from both our families, that all we need to buy is a wardrobe, a desk, a coffee table and a dressing table. I'm also thinking of getting my artist cousin to paint a mural in the bedroom (but I don't know how hard it will be for the next tenants to remove it, so it's still just a thought).
At least your new garden gives you lots of inspiration (just checked your blog 😝), getting creative and drawing helps coping with the stress and tiredness of putting a house together.
