Today is Steem's 2nd birthday! Can you believe it? In just two years we managed to build such an amazing and positive community of highly intelligent and likeminded people here that all aspire to showing a big fuck you to the deep state, elite, and the controling society we live in. I'm so gratefull that I found out about Steemit because this is something future generations will read about in the history books. Under titles like "The Blockchain that changed the everything"

Whether you know it or not Steemit is giving each and every one of us a chance to go further away from the reach of the broken system we currently live in. A chance to store your wealth in a coin that has a proven and working usecase with 400k active users and a mission to change the world as we know it. This is just the beginning of an amazing story we will write for the world.

If all goes as planned with SMTs and HF20 and we start implementing the Steem ecosystem in everyday bussineses and economy I'm 100% sure that Steem it's going to be #1 blockchain in a couple of years. I mean we already are #1 on Blocktivity for the past couple of months but our market cap isn't following as people are blind to all the possibilities Steem offers. But that doesn't matter as they will realise it in the end, giving us a better chance for a head start.

For those who are still not familiar with Blocktivity it's the only tool that let's you asses the real value of a blockchain, taking away the hype, fud and fomo and giving you an insight of the true value of a blockchain.

One way to consider a blockchain project is through its market cap. Another way, closer to the real value, is observing the activity on the blockchain. Lots of FUD and HYPE are responsible for "misplaced" capital in the cryptocurrency space. Here, we are observing which project is actually being used by people, which is in our opinion, the best predictive indicator of value you can have.

Blocktivity dissregards all unimportant factors and displays the true value which is usability and power. Taking in consideration the ammount of transactions per day, network overload they cause and an index ratio of blockchain activity to paint a realistic picture of the real value of a blockchain. Being #1 for so long there only proves that Steem is currently the most powerfull blockchain of them all so stop looking at CoinMarketCap because it will only gives you a snapshot of the current value not taking in consideration the important factors needed to see the future of a specific blockchain.

How it all started

When I first got here, 7 or 8 months ago there was only one upvote bot @randowhale, a ton of content and not much else to do other than writing. My main goal then was to get enough money to be able to buy a motorcycle. Now when I can get two of them I have no intentions of spending any of my hard earned SP for at least the next 5 years. Why? Because my eyes opened up to the big picture and the amazing potential Steem has. Fast forward 7 months, everything has changed and we aren't just blogging here anymore. Now, we can make videos, memes, contributions to open source projects, live streams and much more that we may usually do for free but this time we actually get appreciated and monetary rewarded for our efforts. We are walking the path of change, revolution. Numerous exciting and groundbreaking decentralized projects have come out like utopian, dtube, dlive and dsound and we are on the verge of making a big paradigm shift in the online space, chaning it for the better, from the core. For the first time ever we have an immutable system for sharing information that can't be affected by the controling tentacles of the deep state octopuss.

The much needed Shift

For the first time in internet history we see a shift of wealth from the greedy corps leeching on our attention to earn profits back to the workforce behid the value (content creators). That alone should be a good enough reason for someone to appreciate what Steemit is trying to achieve. At least it was for me because I never thought about how much we actually make for the corps by using their social media or other platformsand now when I know, I have no intentions of ever going back to them. That's why I stopped using facebook, instagram and all other social media apps that creep on the data we give them, spy on us and drown us in ads to make the profits.

The Future

A fully tokenized world running on the Steem blockchain where everyone has an equal chance for success. 3s transaction times with 0$ fees. Ability to earn a monetary reward based on the amount of time/effort/intellect you put into something you would usually do for free and give out to the greedy corps to make profits on. Chance to free yourself from the plagued and broken monetary system that's about to collapse under it's own weight of credit that's impossible to pay as it's made out of thin air just by punching a couple of digits in the computer. A way to get away from the censorship of truth and lies of the propaganda machine. And a chance for freedom. That and much more is what the Steem blockcahin will do for every single one of us.
