While Apple Watch's market share has continued to rise with every year, Wear OS has dropped off the face of the Earth. However, device makers now have Qualcomm's new Snapdragon Wear 3100 SoC platform to plot their revival course.

Qualcomm has worked closely with Google for the development of this chipset, which now also features a secondary co-processor for the sensors, ambient display and audio. The new chipset also focuses on low-power usage to extend battery life.

Fossil Group, Louis Vuitton, and Montblanc are some of the watch makers who would be using this chip.
