Man, i gotta start saving links... saw an article somewhere the other day with Ray Kurzweil talking about how to avoid the AI apocalypse - essentially, by wisening the fuck up, as AI will just be programmed as an extension of our own consciousness. If we don't evolve our outlooks past competition, war, leeching resources for self-gain, etc - what kind of programming do you think would go into the AI - versus maturing as a society and coding it as a respected, functional aid within our holsitic, symbiotic ecosystems.
