Nature can indeed be scary, and more importantly dangerous. It's great that you got back to safety unharmed. I have had similar experience while walking my dog who is small but feisty - the worst combo for situations like this.

Indeed. After the hubs got home I explained what happened. We decided that at least it's good that I'm HYPER aware of my surroundings. Being in the middle of nature, you really need to be. I'm very respectful that I get to live in a nature reserve and that the laws protect all the wildlife.
Added bonus: I get to know myself better by being forced to LISTEN.

Yep, sounds awesome! :) I hate living in a city and I'm working on changing that so I envy you about that. Living in a nature reserve sounds special!
