"No one upvotes my post and its bad. I have few followers and its sad."
Are you a newbie? Are these lines familiar to you? Have you ever heard someone say this after they had posted something they worked for hours? Or do you ever think of this things? Well, if your a newbie like me, there is a great possibility that you have either heard this or think of this. And yeah, its true. We feel irritated sometimes when we put our effort on making a blog, post it, and then everytime you check the upvotes, it feels like -----. Sucks, right?
But think of this. You are a newbie. You are a neophyte. You are the person who had just started something. And for me, starting something new is not a problem.
It's been a week since i have finally entered the Steemit community. And its strange. Its like being brought into an new place where everything you see is unfamiliar to you. The environment is new. What the people talk about is new. Their characters are new to you. And what i do that time is that i am just merely scrolling down. Observing. And the very first thing most of us do when we are an "alien" to a place is that we introduce ourselves. Right? So my first post starts with introducing myself. And it is so fascinating that there are someone who do want to know you, and they show appreciation to you too! They reply to your post and its motivating. Very motivating. But after introducing yourself, now what? I'm in that hanging time again. Idle. Now i must have to do something.
What made Steemit wonderful is that you are encouraged to make your blog genuine, something that you did not copy and paste from other articles on the net, lest you want Cheetah to upvote you. Everyday you think, and everyday you are motivated to create something new, and everyday you are learning. Unlike any other platform, this one will make you consider all the things that you are putting in your articles, to avoid adding your own opinion, and so that the general public would be informed of truth. You are motivated here.
One of the things that made me feel proud here is the help that you get from your fellow Steemians. I give thanks to the @steemitfamilyph, who shared my blogs last January 30. It is very motivating that someone, who is also a Filipino, would lend a helping hand for the new members, and appreciate their efforts by featuring their works. It is so appreciating to think that the bayanihan spirit of the Filipinos can be experienced, not only in the real world, but also in this digital community. Keep on motivating @steemitfamilyph! We need more like you!
So for the week i've had a lot of new things discovered. And if you're a newbie. Don't forget this things!
●** Being observant is sooooo important when you are a neophyte.**
●Always be courteous to the older members of the platform.
●Critics are important also, as well as citations. It will help you grow and help you create nicer blogs in the future.
●Never be discouraged for few followers and upvotes. The fact that you have started is good enough to keep you going.
●Learn to create genuine blogs everyday.
●Use tags that are trending.
●Learn. Grow. Influence.
●Be happy with what you do. Being contented and happy is what keeps you going.
So, basically that's my first week experience! Hoping for the better in the days ahead. Glory to God alone! Steem on!

Welcome to Steemit! I am also relatively new here but if I may give some unsolicited advice... I have read before, on other’s advice to newbies, each day you should have 1 quality blog posting and 20 comments on other’s posts. Interaction is very key to building a large following.
I have personally invested my own money into Steemit in the hopes of getting along more quickly. While I still have to maintain a full time job this is a hobby of mine that I hope to grow to a full time gig and eventually become a self sufficient entrepreneur.
Good luck in your writing and I look forward to seeing you in the moon!
Awesome words! Thanks for your advice @superdavey. I'll be doing it so, interaction is indeed important thing also. Thankful that you've dropped by. Congrats for being an entrepreneur!
oh thats me on my first week
Hahahaha relate much😂
Whoa, this post really catches my attention.. Actually we are living in this world full of Questions, that is why we look for Answers.. I know the feeling of being a Newbie, everyone knows it. And it is sad to think that people only noticed you here when you are introducing yourself. Someone might give an upvote and some just comment as if they care.
In order to be noticed we need to create an extra ordinary work (an original work rather) so that people will be interested in you.. You need to be yourself so that people will love you.. and You need to be careful so that you won't be able to be criticized by others. As an advice, Just be you and show them all that you are really different from others, that you are really sincere on what you are doing, and being a Newbie is not that easy.. Explore many things so you can learn more. and Enjoy the things that leads you to your happiness.
BEING A NEWBIE IS AWESOME
Continue striving hard, I've read all of your works and It is really awesome.. Keep on Steeming and Soar High!
A friendly reminder by @eceninzz
Woah! Thanks for that @eceninzz! Indeed, what makes you happy will keep you going. And we are happy being here coz we learn everyday. And being a newbie wont keep me from sharing my thoughts! Thanks again. Steem on!
Yes, you're welcome my friend.. Stay Awesome..
This is me right now. But I guess what should make us keep going is our passion to write. When you write your content, think as if you are preparing for a volunteer project. Some may appreciate it and thank you, some may not. So let's do this, fellow newbie. We can make it! 😊
You're right @jeninamunoz. We may feel discouraged sometimes, its really true, when you are not appreciated with your efforts. I guess its not just a feeling, but its our nature. Yet it wont hinder us from continuing our passion to write. Thanks for dropping your thoughts @jeninamunoz☺
