RE: Why Do Christians Pray

in #blog7 years ago

I personally love the third point on WHY WE PRAY.
Prayer is designed to CHANGE US.
Recently, God was drawing my heart to an error of our generation:
That a greater part of our prayers and praying time is geared towards the external, not internal.
We surrender our situations for God to change, but fail to surrender ourselves for Him to change too.
But I personally believe that the first miracle that should emerge from our prayer room is us... a changed us.

Recently my eyes was opened to Luke 9:29 in a certain way:
Luke 9:29
And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment [was] white [and] glistering. (KJV)

It was the fact that Jesus' countenance was altered first before His raiment.
Therefore our prayers ought to change us before the things around us.

Shalom
