Update: Very Soon Whatsapp Will Start Displaying Adverts To iOS Users
We thought it was a fluke but as at the time of writing this post, it is certain that the decision to display adverts on whatsapp has been made. (sh*t is getting real)
In the coming weeks, adverts would become visible to ios WhatsApp users and later, Android users. The decision was made by the co-owner of WhatsApp, Facebook.
Prior to this development, Facebook had stated in the past about their plans to implement Ads on whatsapp and here we are closer to the reality of things. But what I don't seem to understand is if user data would be extracted and manipulated to place targeted ads to users since they claim all user data is encrypted.
