Remember, when you had to travel across country? We are more or less traveling to another state. Maybe two weeks here left. So may not post much until we arrive at the farm.
Will keep checking on what you are going to write though in the meantime.
✌
I hope you have a wonderful time traveling and at the farm (your parents I am assuming from what you said the other day). You won't be missing much from me. One maybe two VOP posts over the next couple weeks. I need to focus on writing elsewhere now so I can move onto the next phase. :)
I'm sorry, but I can't. I just don't have the time. The time factor is part of why I am cutting back posting here, as that time can be spent working on what I am going to be publishing.
I know you can do it, and would suggest these things.
If you know how to use photoshop or gimp, you can make a cover. You buy a photo from one of the photo sites like Canstock, usually getting one of their plans if you plan on publishing several books as it will save you money. If you don't know, buy the photo (always provide the photo) and use someone from Fiverr for cheap. Many talented people there, but choose someone getting started so it will be cheaper, they are wanting reviews more than money.
Write the book in Word, and Amazon will convert it for you to the Mobi file they use for Kindle. Or you can use an aggregate such as Streetlib, D2D etc and they will convert the Word file for you.
You will need to create the accounts where you plan on publishing obviously, and set it with your bank account for direct deposits on their pay cycles. You usually are about two months behind getting the royalties.
Don't let any fears of grammar usage hold you back. Mine leave much to be desired and only grammar nazi's will care, and you will find them everywhere. I was in a group years ago with a very successful author who paid 4k (that's a LOT in self publishing) for one of the most highly respected editors for one of her novels, and she still got shredded in a review over grammar. I have never used an editor, and you can do a couple of things if you are concerned.
Use a program like https://prowritingaid.com/ I used it for awhile, didn't understand most of what it was saying but did learn I overused sticky words and corrected that (for the most part).
Join a writing group (they are everywhere) and have them look at any writing (could just be a practice writing) and offer feedback. You can also use this technique with an editor and have them line edit. They will help immensely in calling your attention to commonly repeated mistakes.
I've found people disagree with me a decent amount on my steem page, I wouldn't say it's an echo chamber, but I do get the desire to try to reach more people who disagree with you cause those are the most important people to reach.
That can be exhausting but well worth it! I wish you well on your efforts. :) I have enjoyed chatting with you on here and there's still a few of your messages I think I need to respond to. Gets a bit difficult to keep up with it all sometimes, but I try! Anyways. Hope to see you around. Cheers!
Superb song, and great idea. We look forward (all of us I would hope) to the new people you bring to us, fore they will be our new family, and we will be gentle with them, that I/we promise. :-)

Use the speak feature built into Word to play back what you have typed. You can often catch clunky sentences using this and rephrase sentences so they flow better. https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Use-the-Speak-text-to-speech-feature-to-read-text-aloud-459e7704-a76d-4fe2-ab48-189d6b83333c

Have a superb week.
Good luck with all your plans, but don't be a stranger. Keep us posted!
Thank you :)
Resteemed for you Brother, i wish you success in the Wars to come..
@practicalthought Victor!!!!
Funny how we hit this point at the same time....
Incredible actually...
Just the kind of unexpectedness i have come to cherish in this Life..
Got no time to spread and root, the time has come to be gone, and though i helped ye drink a thousand times, it's time to Ramble on!
...and is the problem that comes with steemit's lack of growth.
If it was expanding in numbers , it would be much less so..
Stay in touch, friend.
Looking forward to the new writings.
