Not so playful foodie
Yuck!
I'm sick! I was looking forward to our plans today, but that's all messed up now.
Yesterday, everything was fine, atleast health-wise. My boyfriend came home later from his extra work day and things hadn't gone too well for them. He had to continue his work from home and ended up working the entire day, up until 10 in the evening.
In between he did have dinner with me and his best friend, who had come over for the evening. But most of the evening, his best friend and me watched tv while my boyfriend was working. So we watched The Voice, even though "We can't watch that, that's what 'normies' watch!". We watched anyway and later watched some kind of quiz show.
We drank honey herbal wine and for the last hour, my boyfriend joined us in watching tv aswell. Then, his best friend left and we went to bed. My throat hurt a little that evening, but nothing really bad.
Once I was in bed, it warmed up pretty quickly under the covers, but somehow, I was still shivering. My body hurted a bit and later, my head started hurting aswell. By the time morning came, I was feeling pretty crappy. My head hurt, so I wanted to get out of bed. Moving around sometimes helps a bit against a headache born in bed. However, everything else in my body told me I didn't want to get up at all. I was so tired!
I send my boyfriend a message (We were sleeping seperately to get a good night's rest) telling him I was sick. I figured he could start warming up the house and make us some tea. He came over and crawled into bed with me. He felt sick aswell!
So, today we are both sick. I took a painkiller to get rid of the headache and it's the only reason I am now able to do some pc work. I'll log off after some steeming though, because I know the only reason I have this sliver of energy is because of the painkiller. My boyfriend feels a bit better than I do, because he's able to do some gaming.
We were supposed to go to my brother today. We were going to go out for dinner with him, his girlfriend, my mum, my dad and his wife. I was really looking forward to it, because we don't see them a lot and I also still had to give my brother his birthday gift. I'm very sad we had to cancel today!
I can't do much more today than rest and I'm so sad about that. I want to check out why my bitcoin transfer to Kraken from AdvCash didn't work out, but I just don't have the energy. Not that I think I can find out much anyway. It's like I never made the transfer, even though I did confirm it through the e-mail. This makes me extra annoyed today, because I was counting on my transfer to go through so I could start properly checking out Kraken.
Yuck!
I hope you're all having a better day than I am!

I feel so 😔. Get well soon dear 😘
Thank you very much :D
Get well soon! It seems there's still some sort of flu on the loose.
Thanks! Yeah, apparently there is. The joys of winter, right?
Me myself am also sick but am now getting fine, Get well soon @playfulfoodie
Thank you! Happy to hear you're starting to feel better :-)
I hope you feel better soon. I've been struck down twice this winter. It's not fun when you've got stuff to do! My brain turned to mush which was very frustrating here on Steemit. Hoping you bounce back quickly but take the rest your body is asking for! 💙
Aww no, hope you stay healthy for the rest of the winter! It is indeed quite frustrating when you can't even do some proper steeming :-)
Ugh i'm sorry...hope you get well soon.
I'm sick too and pretty pissed off about it :D
Thank you :-)
Sad to hear you're sick aswell! I hope you feel better soon :D
Been there, done that - all last week! The good news is it will go away at some point. Until then, just stay in bed, under covers, read or sleep, have some tea. The important is to get a lot of rest, don't try to be brave about it as it is a really nasty flu.
Aye, I don't even have much choice about the resting. My headache is pretty clear to me I'm not allowed to do anything fun ;-)
Ginger tea and honey <3
Morning! There is nothing wrong with doing normie things sometimes xD I came by to wish you to get better, Im also sick. That's good that you are staying warm. I always say that to you so I hope I didn't jinx it! Do you like ginger?
Maybe it's because where I live but everyone who gets sick can benefit from some ginger tea. Hope you are back to your playful self real soon!
<3 <3 <3
Aye, I told him that! I can't help it, I want to hear these people sing. I don't care too much for all the talking and commercials that surround the show though...
Thanks for the well wishes, I hope you'll feel better soon too! I do like ginger and I actually had some ginger tea with honey this afternoon. Yum yum :D
<3
I think this is why I watch the Eurovision contest online. I cannot for the life of me live through commercials. I feel that most singing shows are filled with a lot of filler :C but good music makes up for it.
No problem :3 I like knowing those around me are in good care. I had some Ochazuke porridge and have been staying far away from dairy (had to turn down some chocolate and it was devastating!)
May the healing vibes warm your body!
Oh no, turning down chocolate? I feel for you!
Milk chocolate is just as real as dark D: <3
You got sick because you did a normie activity @playfulfoodie, your body is rejecting that poison called "The Voice" xD
Last time i got sick was 5 years ago, i started having a fever, my head hurt like hell, guess what i did, went to the gym, when i came back home i was fixed, i guess it served as a warning for all virus and bacterias since i never got sick again. You try to enter my body you will have to go to the gym with me!
Oh my gosh, could that be it? What a great catch @teutonium!
Hahaha, what an awesome way to battle your sickness! I did notice that excercising can help me battle my headaches a bit. They are too heavy to go away completely, but it does help somewhat. I use my exercise bike for that, since I don't really like the idea of the gym. Or people.
I had the same feeling before i joined my gym, i would call it my second home, but it's not, it's my first home, yesterday i forgot my phone there, sent a message to the owner and the poor guy helped me search for it, we go see competions together, i was very antisocial before joining my gym, now i'm a funny guy with 185lbs of mass xD it might be a little strange saying this, but i now love myself
Happy to hear you found your place there :D
Ah, get well soon!
Thank you :D
hopefully heal quickly because I am looking forward to your next posting
Thank you :-)
