Rhymes for Dimes – Steem Wars
These words are mostly based on observations you can find circulating around the platform. So here it is, in rhyme form.
Bid bots are a cancer; they're just not the answer
Buy votes and down votes, shadows in raincoats
Teaming and steeming, reward pool is reeling
The market is flooding, platform content is struggling
There is a divide, that no-one can hide
From plankton to whales, the system has fails
Mass flagging and shaming, the hysterical waving
The bitching and hating, all the public debating
In the depths of Discord, range from complaints to awards
If you believe they are true, you are part of the crew
A decentralised paradise, gangs of blind mice
With all the ingredients, of market expedience
Has the moment arrived, it can't be denied
For immediate action, to evade the extinction
Where are we now? A vicious cycle somehow?
Does this make any sense? Just my two cents!
As always, have a great day and PEACE
Right here is your answer, you are already in a good circle of people, whether you know it or not, you keep going and I know for a fact you will do well, I know some things you do not, and you know something's I do not, and without wanting to appear cryptic, I can tell you this, you have been spotted, so please just keep doing what you are doing, and more of it, should you have the time.
Thanks @deliberator for the encouraging words. Thing is, I realise that I'm already a lot luckier than a hell of a lot of minnows on steemit. Seriously, having the support of people like v4v from such an early stage, is completely insane....as well as other established and well known writers like perceptualflaws. Believe me, I am more than happy with the results so far.
Ah man you've found your home within these great words my friend, excellent stuff keep it up .. thank you for sharing @palikari123
MC @palikari123 dropping a masterpiece on the blockchain.
in all seriousness this rhyme is awesome!
Agreed @palikari123 there are some serious bugs in the system that unless they are detected and eliminated, then more popularity on this platform will cause a monumental strain.
PS - William Shakespeare would be proud of you!!
Well, you certainly know how to get my vote, with compliments like that!
I'm sure there are people behind the scenes working on a lot of these 'problems', as well as solutions to go along with them. Nothing is perfect, or without flaws. All we can do is point some of them out, to help improve things for all. There are also a huge array of positives and great things about steemit, which we should also make time to point out.
It really does give a lot of people around the world, a great opportunity to find a voice and communicate with like minded individuals, without all the mass hysteria you see elsewhere. It's also a great medium for the creative individuals out there, who now have the chance to share and showcase their talents, with opportunities that otherwise would not have existed in the past.
The most important aspect that enticed me to create an account here, was the open source model, which theoretically should provide more transparency. The main concern I have, is for people who are new to the platform, and how their vote is almost meaningless to begin with. Their needs to be more incentive for those starting out, to keep them engaged and not feel like they are meaningless in the huge sea of content. At the same time, we also need to realise, that traditional social media platforms have plenty of content that is not monetised for the user. It's easy to complain, but it sure isn't an easy problem to solve.
I can say from a personal perspective, that if it wasn't for the fact that some of my favourite journalists had a presence on steemit, I never would have joined in the first place, as I was never a blogger or the creative type...
Thanks so much for your response it is very much appreciated.
Like you, @palikari123, I do concur that this portal has enormous potential and with such a wide variety of viewpoints being openly shared, perhaps we are seeing the rebirth of authentic journalism here!
Hope so!
More please.
Sums the situation up nicely. Would have been a bugger to get it to rhyme
