Women Crush Wednesday: Jalou Langeree

Jalou started kiting at age 12 in 2002. In 2012 and 2015 she was crowned world champion by the KSP for wave riding.
She is from Noordwijk in The Netherlands and is sponsored by Naish and Mystic.
Story has it that she had a different sort of introduction into the world of kiteboarding. Most kids are introduced to the sport at such a young age by their parents who are windsurfers or surfers…. But Jalou’s beginning has more to do with her brother than her parents.
She started kiteboarding after her brother Kevin had approached a random kiteboarder on the beach asking him to teach him how to do it. Kevin picked it up quickly and Jalou followed. By age 21 she became particularly interested in wave riding and began branching away from the freestyle discipline and set herself apart from her brother. After a year of solid work on wave riding specifically she was crowned world champion in that discipline.

She remains the leader in wave riding for women and men alike. This chick rips. The best part is that she is goofy footed just like me. She is my woman’s crush for Wednesday for sure.
Seeing this sport in a lady is amazing, it is always more than anything in the knights, but this girl is extraordinary and to be a champion, even more, and I wish that they continue with the successes, take care of her because she is your ideal support.
