Adventures In Crypto mining! The journey to stack future moneys
Hello, and welcome to the update on my GPU mining adventure!
Here is a snapshot of the past 2.5 days worth of mining and everything is going great so far. As you can see yesterday between 1 p.m and 7 p.m there was a bit of downtime which can be attributed to another user of this computer (who is in trouble by the way). The mining is kicking out an average of about .1 BTC per month, which for an original investment of about $800 is totally worth it. Break Even is at around 4 months, and with difficulty increases on Ethereum, nicehash will probably be mining other altcoins unless the price keeps going up and it remains profitable.
As you can see the mining has been spread pretty equally across DaggerHashimoto (Ethereum) and Equihash (Zcash). The current profitability looks to be around $4k per year. I would really like to be mining DaggerHashimoto full time, but I am still working on ironing out details on getting the blockchain fully synched.
