Today´s Fresh Juice Mix - with Broccoli Stalks
I just love making and drinking fresh made juice.
It´s tasty, healthy, fresh and the best you know what is in it! 😉
What I have used for this healthy juice:
You need:
- half amount or one lemon (that depends how bitter would be ok for you)
- one carrot
- a bit of ginger
- a handful amount of celery
- one cucumber
- one red beet
- and leftovers like broccoli stalks
You get:
It is not (just) the colour of it what makes the fresh juice so awesome, it´s yummy and healthy. No more words to this player in the kitchen ;)
Extras:
You also use an apple or a pear, if you like it sweeter.
What I ´m doing with the rest of the fruits?
When you are using your juicer, you just don´t get the juice out of the fruits. As you can see in the pictures, you always have a little amount of vegetable fibres over. So, what to do with it?
You can use an indoor-composter, where you can also add your coffee grounds, tea bags and so on...
later on you could use it for indoor-planting for example 🌱
In my case, I put the biological waste to my outdoor-composter and distribute the resulting compost soil later to my vegetable garden in coming spring.
Which juicer I use:
I just made a quick video for you to see how it works:

That's a rich purple, yum. I wonder what that would look like with a pinch of spirulina. I'd probably juice all the veg that I don't like, don't like raw, or don't get enough of and leave my favourites out because I know I'll eat them anyway. Do you need to balance the fibrousy veg with watery veg? Or could you add a little water? I'm just wondering because I'd probably leave out the cucumber.
Lovely.
looks really nutritious, thanks for sharing
Thats nice dear. Fresh juices are more beneficial.
That's great and super healthy. Do you get an energy rush about an hour after you've had it? I usually do. I've not started juicing yet this year but about to go to the shop to get some fresh stuff.
You know you can make crackers out of the pulp? I've not tried it myself but might give it a go this year. It seems such a waste to throw all that fibrous goodness into the compost bin doesn't it.
