Politicon Debate

It's that time of year again, the annual non-partisan political convention known as Politicon.

The convention has been deferred to as the the Coachella of politics, and that's maybe a bit of a stretch in my opinion, but the idea is the have people from apposing sides of the political spectrum debate their idea. You guys might recall me posting about this last year, when it was Ben Shapiro who completely destroyed Mr bull shit himself, Cenk from the Young Turks in the debate. I think that the people at the Young Turks my have their tongues firmly attached to who ever organizes this event each year, because this guy seems to always be there. I personally don't like his positions or his style or debate, or for that matter any of his ideas, most are all from the democratic socialist hand book for aspiring leftist NPC's.

The debate is not too aggressive, no where near as cheeky as last year between Ben and Cenk. Tucker, I think came into the debate with the attitude of let's have a discussion on some serious topics, well that's how it came across, I for one am no mind reader. One of the first topics they discussed was the current situation with the Hondurans migrant caravan that just got stopped in Mexico, they didn't really delve too deep into the subject, and covered move of the general principals of how the country should be dealing with this. Tucker taking the position that the government is by definition the power of the people and should enforce the laws set out by that the government voted in by the people. Obviously Cenk supports the whole everyone should be welcomed or at least you should hear them out. I'll be going into this entire topic a bit deeper tomorrow.

Check out the debate and please share your thoughts with me on what you think about some of the topic they touch on, things like immigration, government funding, the over reaching power of tech companies who can filter what you can and can not see, and probably the most important to me personally is that of free speech. Because if you or I are not allowed to say yes or no, there is only one outcome, just look back in history to what the effects on silencing opposition has, it's not very pretty.
