September 9/11 Memories

September 11 is the day that has been given place in history for fatal terrorist attacks on America. On September 11, 2001, the terrorists used the passenger aircraft as missiles to target America's world-famous World Trade Tower and Pentagon. It is seen as the biggest terrorist attack in America's history.

Apart from this, the date 11 September is seen by linking Swami Vivekananda with a popular speech, which he gave in 1893 at the World Religious Conference in Chicago, Chicago. In his address Swami Vivekananda, as mentioned in the way communal ism, religious fanaticism and violence, is present in the same horrific form even after three hundred years. He said that if this was not bad then the world would have been a better place than today.

In 1895, today, the birth of great freedom fighter, social activist and famous Gandhian leader Vinoba Bhave.

In 1951, Florence Chadwick floated the English Channel on this day. They took 16 hours and 19 minutes to reach.
