Is Fashion a Root Cause of Crime against Women in Society???

Being a citizen of developing country I come across various cases of rape and molestation of females all over the world. There goes the public hue and cry immediate aftermath of the incident and expert opinion of experts how to deal with these crimes. In developing countries, where education rate is not so high, mostly people attribute these crimes to women fashion industry that led to provocation of wearing that publicly and frustrating sex devastated and sick minded people consequently.

The educated class and people of fashion industry deny this aspect straightforwardly. They attribute it to the criminal mindset and lack of education. They urge the need to raise the education standards and ethical values of society. In their opinion dress is no mean a source of provocation for mature community. They strengthen their standpoint with crime scene against young kids, as they are innocent creatures who not dress indecently too.

On other side the sick minded and uncultured class strengthens its views with concept that if women portray her in indecent dress then she will naturally attract the males. They quote Sigmund Freud that there is natural phenomenon of attraction between the two sexes by birth. In this way they term fashion as the root cause of women manipulation in our society.

Let's see what is the reality behind this? Is fashion really a root cause of crime against women in our society? If we see it in reality it is fact that if you are not going to expose something to danger it will remain free from danger. For example if we expose petroleum to a flame it will burnt with explosion. No doubt a woman is a common human being. But she is biological different then male. Women are too much prone as compared to men.
I am not supporting the idea that women is somehow behind men in any field of social sector or sciences. Women have proved her trustworthy in every walk of life. But the gender effect solitary differentiate her from men and on these ground she is prone and not as stronger when it comes to crimes against her as compared to men.

The frequent question asked by the common class is why every advertisement carry women figure in see through dresses? Why men can’t attract the customers. It mean sex and sex appeal attract the customers.

If we deny this fact then we should at least create that kind of institutions where the ethics are taught at the highest level and after graduating from those institutions no men feel attraction for women. To keep balance in a society you can’t even curb men’s urge for women, as it will demolish the overall structure of society.

Can we deny the innate fact that this world’s society is a man dominant society? If we see it in reality perspective no one can deny this fact. You may take any society of the world whether cultural or non cultural all facing the exploitation of women. Even the most cultural and developed countries like USA are among the top list countries when it comes to crime against women. The sick minded people are indulged in the heinous crimes of rape and women trafficking for sex purpose through ages. Women all over the world are facing the same crimes with different ways.

There are many women organizations working for the betterment of women. But in spite of influential ladies and heavy funds they are helpless in empowering women all over the world. The most influential women undergo the same situation and they were helpless in defending themselves.

If we see it from religious aspect it is natural truth that crime rate against religious woman is much less then working women or women in showbiz/film world. The most recent example of this is the sexual scandal in Harvey Weinstein’s case where Angelina jolie, Rose McGowan, Gwyneth Paltrow, Salma Hayek, Ashley Judd and dozens of other top class women actresses accused him of serial sexual harasser and confessed that they were sexual assaulted or molested by him. This is most recent scandal that engulfed the top male officials of holly wood film industry. Most of the top class actresses believe in the fact that they kept quite just for the purpose of job or career.

Now the question is what will be the case in developing countries? So it concludes that if fashion or film industry is not as bad industry then certainly it had got a loop hole where women are much more prone to crimes. So it is innate fact that when you give two opposite sexes an exposure then natural phenomenon will work whether it is consensual or offensive. Exceptions are always there. I am not attributing it to any exceptional case but generalizing it. The world at large is in agreement that film industry is the best place for women exploitation. Because if we see it in deep sense consensual sex is also a disagreement of trust to your family or society, as almost all religions of the world discourage man or woman to indulge in this kind of relationship.

The Governments all over the world are framing laws against women crimes, but the question is whether any country succeeded in slicing down an alarming rate of these crimes??? It is my firm belief that no authority in the world can say for sure that they have sliced down the crime against women by enforcing strict laws. It is sickness of mind, frustration and lack of opportunity that makes a men beast and he does not differentiate between adult women and an innocent girl.

It is only protection and prevention that can help decline this rate. The social web sites are full of stories of high profile teachers involved in sex with their students. In child abuse the general caution given by the authorities is to educate your children and keep an eye on your child behavior. If this is the criteria for protection of a child then why not it is set for a woman? It is well admired fact that if women protect her and not get exploited by job requirement no man in the world can demolish her integrity. The question is why women want to work with man? Whether all women of the world really can’t survive without work in male dominant public offices?
It depends on the woman herself, the women organizations and society to find out the solution. No one from the alien world will come to survive women from exploitation. One and only solution is to protect themselves by giving less exposure to sick minded people.
