RE: Am I Going to Bring the Deadly Wuhan nCoV to England? If so, Who's to Blame?

in #blog4 years ago

Spanish flu was about 3% mortality rate - 50 million died...

The main concern now is that it gets to Africa (suspected cases already), and India (already confirmed), two places not entirely well equipped but massively populated.

Should we lose control in those places too, death tolls even at 1% could be devastating, or maybe miraculous if you enjoy the idea of depopulation via disease

Sort:

enjoy is probably a strong word , all emotion and personal preference aside a high-level depopulation event without bias , not induced by any single human or human faction would very likely solve a lot of the current global problems, although its at the same time very likely in a lot of places 'the hand of god' would once more lead to a repetition of previous unsavoury human practices and extra purges ...

hm, not sure if i should stay stuff like this from the game's account because that basically makes it 'on' the games account in the eyes of the proverbial masses (who would come to save the whale en masse i heard a year ago)

but in essence as a cold, hard fact, ignoring my overall dislike for the biggest part of humanity
its just a cold, hard fact. I think if a god came down from Olympus and handed me pandora's box with one button and said 'if thy presseth 90% of thine species is gone but you might be as well i wouldnt hesitate, but'

i think mt. Olympus got de-populated long ago :)

scurry maybe ...

well its the only feed i still pay attention to for replies on steemit, i kinda had it with this place, just like i had it with my country and town, doesn't everyone in it is evil by default ...

and so and so ...

the numbers would rake up but in the end it would barely make a dent globally, i think that's the most likely potential situation
