You can say I'm crazy about sweets, although, crazy is a mild word! :)

In this cafe-pastry shop, I've entered with my sister about ten minutes before our departure to Belgrade.
It is located at the very beginning of Vaci Street - the famous promenade in Budapest. When you look at the shop window from the outside, it is a quite a simple place, with a small capacity, but also you can see how the cake is made. That attracted our attention, so we couldn't resist not to try it, although there was a possibility to be late for our bus to Belgrade. Whatever, we will go by foot! :)

As we entering, the smell of hot dough fascinated us. They made us a pastry right in front of us. They stretched the dough, than wrapped around a rolling pin and put in some kind of oven. As they preparing our order, we had to make a tough decision. What kind of flavor to choose! Chocolate, almonds, cinnamon, caramel and more. Who could remember? Chocolate was our choice and we didn't make mistake! Crispy dough... Chocolate crumbs on the top... Soo tasty! Who, at the time, would care for calories? Not me! ;)

I didn't have time for taking more photos (only two are mine), so I had to borrow some from the Internet. The picture tells a thousand words, so enjoy!

I live in Romania, close to Hungaria and my city is like 30km away from the border, so we're heavily influenced by the Hungarian culture. Their food is so great.

I always used to say that kurtoskalacs are life, they are about $3 here and for that price, the value you get is insane. I could eat them every day.

I like how that sounds! We don't have anything like that here and I must go there again! 😊
There is Hungarian blood in my veins! 😉

Haha, where do you live?
Some of the Hungarians are great people, indeed.

I'm from Serbia, but my grandmother was from Hungaria.

How can you not have kurtoskalacs there? It's close to Hungary.

Don't know! Maybe I should open it here! 😁

If you have the possibility to open one there, go for it. People would love that place. ;)

You gave me something to think about! 😉

Wow, nice place and genial .Gif :D

Gracias! 😉

Kurtosclalac... Kurtosclalac. Must remember hard sounding name for when I visit. It looks really nice and crispy and soft inside?

Well it is! And the smell... Mmm... Can't forget it! 😊
