The role of a smooth and coordinated transport system is crucial in the continuous development of India. In the current order, many means of traffic include rail, road, coastal, navigation, air transport, etc. In the past years, this area has expanded along with a significant increase and capacity has also increased.
Shipping, Road Transport, and Highways play the responsibility of developing and implementing policy programs for the development of various means of transport, excluding rail and civil aviation.
Road transport- Road transport has played an important role in India's social and economic development. The cheapest and the cheapest means of transport for short and medium distances. In fact, this service is helpful for other means of transportation because its reliability, speed, flexibility, and convenience of the door play a vital role. Due to physical features in India, rail transport is done only to a limit. The importance of roads increases automatically. Therefore, the essence of paths increases automatically. Its most crucial point is the constant increase in the number of riders. The railway is the lifeline of the country regarding means of facilitating opportunities for business, land, pilgrimage, etc.
Air transport - Importance of the medium of fast transport like air transportation in India, such as a wide variety of real visions and vast country, is evident.Like a confluence site between western nations and Southeast Asia, this country enjoys the central location in the world regarding air transportation. Air transport started here in 1911 when the world's first postal service got transferred between Naini and Allahabad. In 1933, the Indian National Airways Company was established, which operated the plane between Lahore and Karachi. 21 air transport companies got discovered till independence. In 1953, all aeronautical enterprises were nationalized and made subject to two newly formed corporations.
Water transport - Water transport provides the cheapest traffic to any country because its construction does not have to create transportation routes and only traffic transportation through the means of transport. It is essential that natural or artificial waterways are necessary for this. Both our internal and marine water offer transportation in our country. From the ancient times in the country regarding domestic water transport, traffic was carried out through the rivers. Presently, there is about 14,500 km of navigable waterways in the country, which include rivers, canals, etc.
(The best means of transportation is the backbone for the development of any nation. Therefore, due to the continuous transport development, the ease and convenience of the people with the comfort of traffic to the people can be readily available.)

correct. People travel from one place to another via the rail. This is a cheap way. But pollution is also increasing due to these traffic sources.
