The intellectual hypocrisy of the socialist.

Lets posit, for the moment, that the perspective of your 'average' socialist is one of 'lets help all peoples, with the resources from someone else, to help make a fairer society'.

They posture as people who have faith in the virtuousness of the human being. How good we all are. Hw we all deserve equality.

Why then, do they have no faith in human beings, being human?

They have no faith in voluntary charity (but more than happy to make 'helping' a legal statute?), while continually stating how good all people are...

They have no faith in free markets - but more than happy to utilize the products of the free market success in every single aspect of their lives to complain about free markets ( computer communication for example)

They have no faith in the family as a strong unit, but think strangers can come together under common banner of (insert any group here) and becoming a strong unit.

They have no faith in religion.
But have total faith in a benevolent entity (government) that will look after them?

They have faith in science.
But disregard it if it doesn't fit in with their narrative.
(correlation of different genetic races, and IQ, for example)

They have no faith in property rights and ownership?
But believe the governments should all property?

They have no faith in anything, is the truth.

They have no intellectual strength is the truth.

They feel small, is the truth.

And they just want to instill their grey, negative, insecure, scared, perspective of the world that they possess - onto, and into the rest of us - so our world becomes as gray as theirs.

Just so they can feel better, and less of a loser - in the fantastic human race that they claim to love so much...

Sort:

When you put it this way, it is not good.

However, and I have no idea what socialism is/was in US or Soviet or how it manifested, I think helping people with whatever or however we can is not a bad thing.

Making people equal is impossible, at least not in terms of intelligence (not only IQ), behaviors, looks, morals, color or riches.

Equality in rights, that is something else. But I guess that is not what the socialism you are talking about is advocating for?

They have no faith in voluntary charity (but more than happy to make 'helping' a legal statute?), while continually stating how good all people are...

We have many examples in steemit where you can see what humans do wherever they go! like bid-bot scams and reward-pool abuse, etc

Is it okay to force people to give money to others? Forcing is never okay. But unfortunately, people love rules and thy want someone to implement them. That is why they elect all sorts of idiots/tyrants who promise them what they want to hear and put them under the new age slavery (collecting the dollar)

Thanks for sharing!

thanks for your reply!

Equality in opportunity (freedom), and not equality in outcome (socialism).

Helping people is a perspective - I am all for 'teaching a man to fish, so he can live forever' - free markets. Jobs. Improvement.

Is infinitely better than giving a man a fish for day, so he can eat. (taxation and transferring wealth for free money, to others)

Is it okay to force people to give money to others? Forcing is never okay.

Taxation - with the threat of asset forfeiture or imprisonment - for refusal to pay = that is force.

Thanks for taking the time to read !

Oddly enough it seems as those types of government don't seem to last too long without a free market somewhere to keep them afloat.

How much foreign aide did the US provide since WWII?

When they DO go belly up...(not if..but when)...it seems that war follows shortly thereafter.

Socialism doesn't scale.
it works purty good in small groups of a few dozen or so people
but not anything much bigger.

The tribe is a perfect example of socialism working. Unfortunately, the tribe requires an environment and social programming which support it. Outside creation, from a place of bad programming and surrounded by bad environment, is rather difficult to complete and preserve.

In short, we don't live in the era of the tribe any longer. Yes, size destroys the tribe. Socialism is a tribe product, which should have died out with the tribes.

nope.
socialism is inherent...in small groups of people.
large groups of people go insane.
that MIGHT be a clue.

Exactly, which is why the small part is entirely necessary as part of the "environment" in which it can exist. Historically, contact with other tribes (which have different customs and social dynamics) ends poorly.

So, given the inability to create small enough groups and the inability to maintain separation between working groups, it is not a viable model for any type of large population.

:)

you weren't paying attention.
it's INNATE...it's wired into the wetware.
we're born that way.
do you intend a widespread system of genetic engineering?
eugenics hasn't worked..but KEEP TRYING?

or..

Sea Steads... we have 'proof of concept' already...sometimes called 'cruise ships'.
give everyone the option of NOT having to live in crowded surroundings.
let them have the option of...just floating away...
if they want to.

What's also "wired into the wetware" is the need for compensation in a healthy balance with accomplishment. Any perceived imbalance in the equation upsets the psyche.

Well done for the writings.keep it up..

Socialism seemed good back when I was in elementary school. Then I grew up!

The trouble is, we now have people of voting age, who have never grown up..
