Possibly the most exciting news for the decentralizing of the internet...

in #blog6 years ago

I am not known for my technical ability. Or techy knowledge, to come think of it..

So on that proviso, I will not even attempt to understand exactly what is being explained here...
(hence the bitchute and youtube link... and not me waffling on about it, pretending I really know what he's on about.)

Other, more techy people will get it...

What I DO understand from this - and if I understand it correctly - is amazing!! And will be the future.
If I understand it correctly.

I have the same excited feeling about this, as I did back in '97 when I told everyone enthusiastically about how the internet is the biggest thing to change society, since the wheel.

They all laughed, and looked at me like I had too many spliffs.
I'm smiling now though...

....Without further ado..

...from 3 minutes in - for the relevant part relating to this post.. if you have no patience...

I could not be more strongly opposed to an Internet Bill of Rights. First, any such endeavor undertaken in this political climate is doomed to be horribly manipulated by censors, communists, and their allies and dependents in government. There is no - zero - chance of such a current endeavor resulting in the rights WE ALREADY HAVE on the internet.

We have, in America, the First Amendment, and the Fourth, which are applicable to our online speech and affairs. Want to involve government in solving the problem of censorship, propaganda, and bullying (which is primarily CAUSED by government now!)? Call for the enforcing of EXTANT law.

The Beaker browser is a far better solution - because it removes force from the equation entirely. Government is the problem. Calling for more government to solve the problem caused by too much government is a form of insanity rampant today. To solve the problem, simply remove government from the equation, and Beaker is one way to do that.

Apply this form of solution in every aspect of your lives, from your earnings being spent to murder school buses full of Yemeni children (American taxpayers funded that terrorist act) to school shootings here in America (homeschool). In every case, simply using methods that PREVENT GOVERNMENT INVOLVEMENT solve the problem.

In every case, involving government MAKES THE PROBLEM WORSE.

Thanks!

Yes, this is probably the right way to think of the issue.

Sounds interesting, and duck duck go is the daddy on my pc. :-)

Same here! lol

widely distributed, parallel and redundant....(add superlative adjectives to taste) my favorite thing. I've been saying this for years...
