How intelligent are your teachers?.... Or more importantly - how stupid are you?

in #blog6 years ago

Who you learn from, and understanding who that person is , (and their background) is vital in working out who has relevance in any given subject.

Would you take you advice from the guy in the advertisement below?
Would you think he had useful knowledge and insights to impart to you, to educate you, in their chosen field ?

...of course not.

For people to have any weight of argument, life experience tells you a lot as to whether they are a charlatan's or genuine.
Life's experiences matter. Living that life and experience, before teaching is a thing.

It can be faked of course, by the skilled imposter - but it will be seen to be inferior or empty - under any scrutiny from those with experience in the same relevant field.

This seems very self explanatory - only the unwise or downright stupid would decide to take the theoretical teacher's lessons as more legitimate than the teacher's with years of real life experiences under their belt, of any subject being taught .

Rather than just assuming the intelligence of the teacher, the student has a responsibility to research their teacher, to understand the validity of the information that is being given to you...

If you don't?
Then you have to ask yourself another - more important - question...

How stupid are you...?

Karl Marx.

If you choose to decide there's wisdom in the words of a man that as no integrity or experience concerning the very arguments that he tries to theorize on... well, that says far more about you than Karl Marx...

Clean your head!!!

Why didn't you tell me this before i wasted 20 years in college?

I just thought there was good teachers and bad teachers.
I never once thought that i was smarter and/or had more experience than the teacher.
I never once questioned their worthiness to teach me.

Except that one student teacher teaching economics,
in that class i got more of my art class projects done... and helped the teacher when he forgot things like basic math.

LOL - I was really lucky .
When I was 10/11/12 years old , I had a teacher who taught me how to think for myself.
Possibly the best teacher I've ever had. (I'll love him forever for that).
