Trying to Explain Crypto to People
I'm sure many of you have been in this situation. Why do they mostly not understand, and stare at you like your stupid. The News/Media is to blame, and the governments they take orders from. They Rarely report on the good, mostly the bad, and they definately don't report of its benefits to get people interested. What brought me on, the Bitcoin price surge of 2013. Back on topic, thanks to the news/media outlets we are left with people that don't understand thinking we are the morons and its really quite the opposite.
So over the last few years I have been trying to get some friends into crypto currency world. I usually start off asking if they have heard of bitcoin, this results in a no or a yes, which results in a mess of all types of responses:
No - Whats that? - (just stares at you) - gets interested but doesn't follow through or joins the community you are involved in
Yes - doesn't see the benefit - doesn't beleive its real money - thinks your wasting your time - (Rarest Response)Knows and is involved/trades daily.
Thats why I say the news/media is to blame, most of the older generation still watches the evening news, the younger only gets the news from what they see online. Tell me, how often do you see Bitcoin or any other Altcoin or that matter mentioned on either of these sources unless you physically search for it or have your feeds already subscribed to it.
Crypto will pick up alot faster and be more heavily adopted if there is an extremely dumbed down explaination on what it is for the avererage person to grasp the idea of. Some program made to simplify its use, and a clear point that Bitcoin is worth 500x more than the Euro and USD. Not that it will always be worth that much more, values change, could be up or down tomorrow, but the concept is there.

This is very true about the reflective view on the post about how many react @kingarbinv . My personal experience was when I explained about crypt-o to a friend it blew his mind I had not known till a year later he asked when I had met him don't talk about that again even then he believed it was counterfeit. In conclusion as you said even now finally it is even harder to convey even here reflections of our lives .
Yeah some people beleive only what the television tells them, and that fact alone is what I think is really holding back bitcoin itself from becoming the world currency, not just a few nations.
Go on :), explain crypto in a sensitive article
I'm conveying the idea of creating that explanation to my readers, =D
There's enough information out there about crypto for anyone to read or watch or listen to. If they really want to know they'll find out. Just like I did and I'm pretty sure you did too.
Cool
