Being that I turned 30 this year and continuously telling myself that its's time for some serious lifestyle changes, I've decided to put together a 30 day challenge. Now before you exit out my post and think this is some typical "30 days" ripped program, it is certainly not! I assure you. These are just some routines and methods I've been wanting to try for sometime now and with the hopes of sparking some fellow Steemians and curiosity to join me on this 30 days of change.

This routine I feel should be done first thing in the morning so that it kick starts your day and gets you firing on all cylinders. Also I will have some links at the bottom for some of the methods I'm going to try for better a description on how to, and I highly recommend you giving them a watch. I'm not taking any sort of credit for these methods. What I'm doing is simply putting them in a routine timeline of how I'm going to implement them.

  1. Spend 10-15 minutes of your choice of stretching. Lets face it people we're getting out of bed stiffer than a board so lets loosen the fuck up.

  2. 10 minutes of self reflection and consider in those 10 minutes to think of at least 5 things you deeply are grateful for. Oh and don't be a robot so everyday change that list of 5.

  3. Take 5 deep breaths for that list of five and get down in that push-up position and start getting to work. We're going for quality and quantity. Although quality is most important, we do want to focus on quantity as well. We're in for a painful grind here my friends. During this grind is were we're going to work out some shit. Maybe it was something stressing you out at work, stress about bills, that dog that always shits in your yard while his owner never picks it up, or whatever! The point is, during this time we're going to let it all out there and let it go. TIME TO MOVE ON! Don't stop until you have no more gas in the tank, then I give you permission to stop. Remember that number of push-ups you ended with because we're marking down and keeping track of our daily progress.

  4. It's time for the Wim Hof method. Here's the link to his method. Also I will include some links at the ending of why I'm so fascinated with the Wim Hof method and I highly recommend you to watch them. Keep in mind to just do the breathing part.

FIVE. On that last exhale and hold, go ahead and pump out maximum push-ups until of course you have to take a breath in. Use common sense here and listen to your body because we're all different as you all know. Also during this time I would like to add that I'm no professional or am I any sort of doctor. Just a simple but I think a important reminder. So do at your own risk. Like i said, I will be adding more info on the Wim hof method so you don't get scared off or discouraged or perhaps do some further research of your own.

SIX. When the buzz comes down its time for a Tabata circuit of your choosing. Mine is 8, 20 second rounds including ten seconds in between for rest, in a total of a 4 minutes circuit. The two exercises I will incorporate are burpees and skipping rope but again you can choose whatever you desire. Tabata is meant to kick the living shit out of you so, if your're not completely gassed well I'm sorry to say but your not doing it right. In order for you to get the benefits of Tabata you got to be willing to take your will power to the next level.

SEVEN. Finally we're here at the ending YAYYYY! Get your sweaty ass in a 3 to 4 minute Cold shower. I didn't stutter. This is part of the Wim Hof method. Don't skip out on all the benefits of what a cold shower could do for you.

So now that it's all done let me know what you think and if you have any sort of questions. I would love to hear your take or your experience after the routine.

Don't forget to journal your progress and experiences. I would also recommended picking a diet you decide that fits your needs. I also plan on doing further workouts later in the day but no ands, ifs, or buts, the morning routine is to be done every single day.

Be sure to take some before and after pics too for yourself.

HAVE FUN AND ENJOY!! and I would like to leave you with a quote from Wim Hof and he says "BREATHE! It's for free, its life, it's good!"

Sort:

Have you practiced the Wim Hof method for very long?
I'm somewhat familiar with it and I'm sure there's so many other benefits in addition to oxygenizing all of the cells in your body, like flexing your mental toughness muscle and perhaps a bit of meditation too?
You'll have to make a follow up post on how this challenge has transformed you :)

Upvoted and Resteemed!

fyi main reason it works so well is, super conduciveness. Increase electrical activity a lot and impacts glial cells. There is a magnetic connection here to water , cold water, body, dna and glial cells.

thank you for your output and feedback

I've done the wim hof method for a few days but I never gave it my complete 100. I'll definitely do a follow up 7, 14 , 21, then 30 day outcome and conclusion. I'm always about finding ways to tweak our own bodies naturally. I think we sometimes forget to turn off everything going on and think about numero uno. That may come off as a bit selfish but if you're not good then what good are you to anyone else? Definitely check those videos out if you haven't already. I think you'll enjoy them. And thanks for the suggestion for a follow up.

I have been doing ice baths for a few months. I see problems. The cold is classified as yin, which is related to female, introvert, beauty, nurturing, contraction, repair. So if you look at Wimhoff in his early days he looks healthier, more fat fuller in the face, skin color more red. I assume the reason why Wimhoff has been ok with the approach is he was extremely yang. My point is, there is a very delicate balance between yin and yang. Gong into extremes will have noticeable benefits. For example infrared sauna will increase mitochondria potential in the similar manner to cold baths. This is because if you go yin extreme u hit some yang.. its like crying and then getting angry. So my advice is balance cold with the hold. Thanks of rthe article Karpone. I plan on writing about health relate areas more. Have a look at my peptide article you might like this. https://steemit.com/health/@danlupi/peptides-bioregulators-new-smart-drugs
