Fiction writing is hard work, doing it on the fly probably not the best thing to do. I gave up on it a few months ago. Kudos to you for carrying on.

Thank you for the kudos, haha! :D

It is really hard :) I've been doing it for years, which usually ends up with a lot more dreams and a huge pile of unfinished things as I leap onto the next bit of weirdness flying through my imagination. But, focusing now. Must get this one series done.

Thank you for stopping by!!

I agree that writing on the fly is probably not the way to go. Mainly because you get so far down the road and realize that something major has to change in the earlier stages...

I'm sure there are people who don't like that I serialize my works (nearly two years after I started doing it), but I also get a lot of great support (as I mentioned on my Steemiversary blog where you commented) - so, I must be doing something right.

I'm sure there are also some who grumble that I have NSFW chapters as well, but a couple of those NSFW chapters received Curies before my support from them stopped. (I'm doing too well now, I guess - since my writing has only grown.)

So, are you one of the Nanowrimo winners this year? I did. That one (Freyja's Fire) will be shared soon.

One thing that serializing has done - is force me to write more - a lot more! So, people can grumble, but it's a good thing overall because it makes me get the stories written - and will even force me to finally share some of my "fun writing" the more erotic pieces.

I hope you've had a great Christmas Day!

Writing on the fly is fun. :) I also wouldn't have so much more material to insert that wouldn't have manifested unless I was freewriting. This whole series is two-decades in the making and the most important plot devices weren't discovered until writing on the fly here for Steem when I created Skyswept.

Now everything has worked great! Characters I created for book one make more sense as I envision them further down in book three and can write their personalities better, a certain event was only really tacked on because it seemed right but now it has a purpose... it's all really important because I'm not writing chronologically but more in order of 3, 1, 2, 4.

Pantsing is often looked down upon over plotting, but sometimes it works. For me anyway. We all have our different writing styles. :D I think if I just wrote the books how I originally envisioned them, they would be no-where as good as I see them now.

I'm not a NaNo winner this year. I was last year. :) This November was a highly stressful month full of sickness and hyper-vigilance watching over an ADHD child and teaching him not to torment a 6-week-old kitten, so I'm re-doing NaNo on a clear mindset in January. Congratulations on your own NaNo win! It is a great achievement. :D

Merry Christmas!!

I don't like the pantsing v plotting thing out there. I think the best is to go somewhere down the middle. You need to have a fair idea of where you're going with it, but then it's best just to write.

The one I'm going to be sharing (hopefully) before Freyja's Fire is mostly a pantsing exercise, but I already knew where the characters had to end up, so again, there was a definite sense of direction. I think that's the main thing - to have a sense of direction.

I've watched several TV series die as a result of having no clear direction. They get caught in a groove because there was no plan of action.

Sounds like you've been busy.

I'm not sure if I will do Nano again - depends on whether something coincides with it like it did this year. November is a terrible time for it, in many ways... Too much stuff going on. If I have my Christmas and Thanksgiving stuff done in October (my goal for next year - as December finds me with low energy anyway), then maybe...

Hope you are having a great one and that your 2020 is even better.

Hello!

Cats look so cute that they give me ranges of daring my hand to caress them

Greetings from Venezuela

Hello! :)

Glad you love cats too! I need to pet every one I see or I feel unfulfilled, haha. :)

Ahh you've got a ginger and white bitebitebite too XD (ours is a year old and gigantic now but still does the bite kick thing and somehow it's still adorable, how can they look so cute when biting things?)

Ew that's a lot of sicknesses, hope you're done with that shenanigans D:

Ginger and White Bite-Bite! Brilliant. Orange and Whitey McBitey XD !!

But yes. My hand, my arm, our feet, the back of my son's head when he dares lean against the couch when Charlie is there, LOL! All victims of the bite kick.

He's adorable though. We forgive him.

We hope our sicknesses are all over too!! Arrrgh. Sick of being sick. :(

IRVINE, Calif. and BEND, Ore., Oct. 17, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Technology startup InfluenceInk announced today its newest initiative, INK Games™️, a digital and mobile gaming business unit targeting gamers, online users and social influencers. INK Games is launching its platform where users own zip codes and postal codes on a growing, global map. The company is building engaging, digital games that incentivize user sign-ups and reward influencers for their role in building game communities, and users for their ongoing participation. Early participants can purchase zip codes — effectively, digital real estate — and earn rewards based on the users and activities within each postal code as the game world grows. The company expects an exclusive, first zip code drop to go live in Q4 with a limited number of US zip codes available initially, with all zip codes and global postal codes becoming available in subsequent asset drops.
INK Games offers an innovative new model of game building and design which puts users first. According to Chief Executive Officer Robert Towles, "This is particularly important at a time when game companies and development studios are reaping massive profits by leveraging the relationships of their users."
"We believe that users and influencers can — and should — get paid for every person they invite and every in-game activity they are connected to."
"We reward users for on-boarding other users — in perpetuity," Towles remarked. "That's the way it should be."
The company expects to supercharge a user's income earning potential through a mix of proprietary technology and payout modeling. Every user will have a unique referral code embedded in their user profile that can be shared. The company utilizes custom built software to track the reach of the code and pay users accordingly and transparently, for life.
Towles also noted that the company will apply a tracking algorithm that actively searches for user and network connections, effectively supercharging the user's viral reach. These cross-connecting network maps are built as users join. User rewards aren't just limited to direct invitations, either. Their reach and rewards accelerate as whole network connectivity grows.
Recognizing the rise of influencer driven marketing, gaming and social media's dominance in today's digital age, INK Games address the need for a gamified, globally-accessible platform to monetize social reach and create richer, loyalty-enhancing game experiences.
About INK Games
INK Games targets gamers, online users and social influencers. The company is building a first-of-its-kind game platform where users can "buy" territories in the form of postal codes, which represent ownership in the platform's gaming universe. As the company builds games — and launches other game publishers' games on the platform — users will share in the economic activity of users, activities, and assets inside their territories.
The company's aim is to build engaging, digital games that incentivize user sign-ups and reward influencers for their role in building game communities, while providing an economic reward to users for their ongoing participation. For more information visit INKGames.io.
