"Raincife", this is the funny name given by the residents of Recife in the rainy season. The months of April, May, June and July here are very rainy. Rainfall that can last for days and as the clouds usually come from the ocean (Recife is a coastal city, bathed in its stretch of coastline by the Atlantic Ocean), damage is inevitable. The streets of the city center are flooded with people walking back and forth with water knocking on the knee, cars, trucks and buses pass creating waves in the middle of the lane, streets and avenues are flooded ... in the end, the chaos is complete here when it rains.

Last year here interesting things happened, some curious phenomena of nature that I would like to tell you; Last year at this time of winter here in the city there was a day that we had a storm of lightning and thunder. Yes, a nature event that scared everyone here in the city and lasted more than 6 hours. Thunder and lightning falling in various parts of the city, knocking down power poles in various neighborhoods, cutting off energy, leaving virtually the entire city without electric power. Here we all thought it would be the "end of the world" ... but I don't think so.

But as everything in this life passes, storms, lightning and thunder also pass. Above the charged clouds announcing a day of torrential rain, I remember that there is a beautiful blue sky and a sun that shines brightly for all of us.

That's a Big Truth...
