We should all give Sandro Miller a big thank you for taking this terrifying picture because Andrew Marshall gives very little public appearances. This policy strategist headed the Office of Net Assessment for over forty years. He might have been the most powerful influence in the United States military history.

Appointed by President Richard Nixon, Marshall's main contribution comes in predictive analysis. This includes monitoring foreign trends, recommending locations to drop bombs, and predicting nation's future moves sometimes decades ahead of time.

He was so good at his job that he was able to predict events like the collapse of Soviet Union, the rise of China as a superpower, and predicting Putin's moves. Even Chinese General Chen Zhou applauded his wisdom. His nickname in Washington was Yoda, freaking Yoada. Yet, for most of the world, he is a hidden character pulling the strings behind the scenes.
