This is my FIRST MONTH EXPERIENCE on STEEMIT INITIAL IMPRESSIONS post.

in #blog7 years ago (edited)

Hello Steemians!
Though I would never imagine even a month ago me in my life starting any message with these two words, today I want to begin exactly with them! So once again:

Hello Stemians!
My name is John (Well, to put it straight from the beginning, this is not exactly the name I have in my passport, but it's Russian equivalent, which can be easily translated to English as John) Here on steemit everyone has this right for choosing any name and register for it. So I choose here to be known as John.. John Stone

According to that Stone part of my name. As you could already guess, again, this is not my real last name, but it is actually my occupation. I own a company which has been doing sandstone mining and additional stone crafting business for more than 10 last years. And if you could take smartphones of the last hundred clients of our company and would try to figure out how they entered my telephone number, you would have in 99 entries of 100 it translated to English as John Stone.
Because it is easy to put it in your phone in the way NAME + OCCUPATION, so you have better breadcrumbs for your memory if you have 1000+ of telephone numbers stored in your phone.
Compare it to an average user account having 1000+ followers, we need to somehow stay recognizable, that is why I just choose my account name @johnstone.

This is for now the end of that introducemyself part of this post as today is actually my 31st day on steemit project and I want to celebrate a bit this first month here by expressing my initial impressions of being part of this great community for this short period of time.

I must confess that I found steemit absolutely occasionally. It was exactly in the beginning of 2018 when I started browsing cryptocurrencies in search of some so called alt-coins which can possibly have high grow in 2018, I wanted to make a $100 one-year investment. So I took a list of the most popular alt-coins and began searching what stays behind them. Fortunately there was STEEM in that list.

When I first seen it, I loved it, yes, that was LOVE FROM THE FIRST SIGHT.
I was fascinated by the only idea of someone made this whole social-network being based on the blockchain technology so it produces its value by means of any social activities being made inside of this network. I registered the same day. Than waiting for approval, for some days, I've been reading and reading post by post of different authors keeping to admire how all those people came to be together in one place!

When I posted the first time and got a big for a man of the 25th level $1 upvote from @hr1 (This is something corresponding to the fact, that you will always remember the one who first upvoted you. lol) I was as happy as a child who waited for 2 weeks when vacation finally came.. So, I posted the second time in one hour and.. BINGO! got another $1 upvote from @hr1. This is how it all began.

I must admit that I have never been doing blogging in my life until I entered STEEMIT community. But the strange thing, is that from the first day here I feel an overwhelming desire to express myself.

So, as a short manifest of my super-excited-ego just to slightly calm it down I will put these four lines below:

My English is Simple,
My Stones are Strong,
The Words sound Distinctive,
And so on, so on...

Very soon I recognized that it is not only about expressing oneself, but also, and now it seems even the best part, interacting with others! I met so many interesting people here already that I want to start "My interesting friends series" to keep them on my pages always in my mind, because it is really very difficult to remember even 50 nicknames of your buddies among even 100 followers, not saying even of bigger amounts.

This place is full of gratefulness, that is why I keep following everyone who follows me. I know this is not right according to the unsaid rules, but how can I not follow somebody who took interest to my person! (even if it took him 2 seconds to click that follow button)
Than, after a while, I come to the pages of my followers and read their posts and leave comments and upvote selectively. And if I see no reaction for one week, than I go unfollow this person. As I think this is the best place to show your reaction, and if someone for some reasons (very often it seems to be a language factor) do not give that reaction, than we are probably have different views on it.

What I liked most of all on steemit is TRANSPARENCY! You can come examine anyone's page without being approved for friends or something in that kind. You can come and see the last comments or the last transactions of some person. This is really helpful, when someone replies to you and you want to see the person's background, check may be, if he is not a spammer or just know someone better before you answer. This transparency thing is something, which to my personal opinion, will eventually defeat corruption. In this case there is no need to be a prophet to predict some future social experiments (in a good meaning of this phrase) based on steemit blockchain.

I feel it, we are building the next level transparent intellectual society here, where national or religious boundaries have already been erased and the wind of change is blowing from the very heart of it.

Keep Steeming!

See you Soon!

Steemit is a really neat place. I personally enjoy learning about all the different walks of life you brilliant people lead.

Cheers!!!! And great words.

Thank you for coming by and your kind words. Am going to visit your page right now. See you there! :~)

JS I think I read this twice now.
I was talking to the wife last night about you and she wondered what part of Russia you live in?
Were you involved in the uS election last year? Lol Just joking about that one. If you were you had more of a voice than the stupid Americans that think there is actually a fair election.

Any way it would be nice to come visit your country some day. We thought now we have a contact there that knows some English? At one point we even considered trying to escape the uSA and come to Russia.
We have been trying to figure out where to live to get away from the uS who is just killing all over the world.

Wow! That is an unexpected turn of things. We live in the south of Russia, Rostov region. About 70 km to the north of Rostov-on-Don. The city is called Kamenolomni (Rostov oblast) it is translated to English as Stone quarries. Though there are no any stone quarry by now here in this city. Very close to the new-built airport Platov (ROV). This all area is historically a Cossack area. Have you heard of Cossack? They are warriors who lived in their own way and were in some aspects independent from Russian tsar. I've been living in Moscow for about three years and I must say that the mentality is a bit different here. As we all here in some way follow the unspoken set of rules, the main of which to be responsible for your words and actions. Of course jerks can be met anywhere, but here there are less of them. ))

Actually it is getting tougher and harder to live in Russia for the last three years (As we are told from TV because of sanctions, but I personally don't believe TV either), as the prices go up and salaries stay on the same point, though still it's not that bad compared to many other countries. And also if thinking of moving some place in Russia, I can definitely recommend only two regions for now - Rostov region and Krasnodar area. Because this is the south and the climate is much better than in the northern parts. Starting from April till November it is really warm in the south and from April starts construction season. And every spring it seems that in every yard everyone starts to build something.

Ah wouldn't it wonderful if our lives could be rid of jerks. The experts of everything always have a correction for us. We dont watch TV at all because it is so bad here. In the uSA it is 100 percent propaganda now. All music, tv, movies..... All media controlled 100% by Joos.

We like the fact that Russia is a Christian Nation and is not ashamed of it. We know about the truth of what happened in the Revolution. We know who was behind the murder of people and destruction of Russian churches.

You know Trump told the American people he would normalize relations with Russia.
Now he is just doing what his JOOISH masters tell him to do.The exact opposite of what he told the American people.

The American people do not understand Hegelian Dialectic (an interpretive method in which some assertible proposition (thesis) is necessarily opposed by an equally assertible and apparently contradictory proposition (antithesis), the contradiction being reconciled on a higher level of truth by a third proposition (synthesis). ).
This has been used on my country my entire life.
It is sad how this small group of people has such control over our world and cause so much suffering and death.

I have read a lot about it. I have heard personal testimonies.

We would not want to live in a city. For sure we would want to farm. No matter what the evil empire does we all need food.

We watched a video about Steven Segall getting his passport from Putin.
here
It was a beautiful moment. Notice how giant Mr Segall is compared to Putin. WOW

We found out about it from a girl on youtube we used to follow.

We stopped following controversial people when we wanted to get monetized. But we like her and think she is pretty smart. Now the link to her channel is in the block chain.

Thanks for your kind words to my son. He enjoys when someone comments to him. We all have fun here as a family. You should get the wife to join.

I never heard of this Hegelian Dialectic. Sounds very intriguing . I am going to learn about it now.

My wife is not that good in English, though I told her much about you and your family. I also made my latest post mentioning your family as my good friends. I am not sure if I used the right pictures, but I decided better them, than without pictures at all. I can always change them if you don't like them. You can check it if you want.

I was going to ask you how it shows in steemd when someone mentions your @ name. Have you had this mention line on steemd from my post today?

steemd.com/@whoever
Just put your name in the place of whoever.
There is also steemstats.com
steemdb.com
steem.supply They all seem to work off of steemd.com There are many more as well you will stumble onto them.

I found this one yesterday from someone I am following where you can see who is muting you. http://steemit.serviceuptime.net/mute.php Thanks to @purpledaisy57 for that find. She is another spectacular steemiteer!

I made that one up because steemian seems alien to me and Steemiteer is climbing the mountain of words here.

I am sure there is a script out there where you can see who has mentioned you and get and email with the link to it. There is a bot in Discord that does that for discord . GINABOT

Thanks again for the friendship! We wont edit your post. You gave me an Idea for a post now as well.
